Five of My Favourite Blushers!

Happy Friday!

The weekend has begun and not only is it a Friday, but it's Friday the 13th. No we are not superstitious about it. I love Friday the 13th. It also just happened to be a super lucky day for me .Won twice on scratch cards a 20 pound  Prize followed by 50 ,on a different scratch card, and as prizes flow by three's ,had a nice win on the horses! So cheers to 2017!
Now my favorite blushers. We all love color on our cheeks. It's winter and we don't want to look pale and dull. Blush, and a nice red lipstick is an awesome look. Blush does not have to be super pricy. A drugstore buy can be equally good as designer!

1. To achieve a peaches and cream complexion, Bourjois Cream Blusher is super creamy. The cream to powder formulation melts into the skin. My No. 1. It costs $16, available at all drug stores.

2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends (sheer highlighting blush) is foolproof and costs around $13.

3. My third favorite is Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic rose. With this blusher you get value for money. It costs $8 and you don't need an explosion of color on your cheeks. Just a slight blush, to bring out sultry eyes!

4. Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Light Muave. It brings awesome color to your cheeks and won't fail to show you're brimming with good health! (even if you happen to be feeling the opposite!) It costs as little as $5.

5. I love the MUA range and MUA's Pixel Perfect Multi Blush is a winner. Costing only $3, I wouldn't pass on it! MUA's Luxe Whipped Velvet Blush is super easy to blend in and well worth the $3 as well!

Have fun and keep smiling!

Get Beautiful With Coconut Oil!

Happy Wednesday!

The cold winds of January and the minus temperatures of the night are hazardous enough, but a thought goes out to every homeless person even those staying with people and not having their roof to call a home. Those sleeping in cupboards with almost nothing to eat. God bless them all.

But coconut oil may be a solution to everyone with some money still in their wallets. The beauty benefits of coconut oil have been known for ages and used especially in Asia for donkey´s of years. I remember massaging coconut oil on my body long ago. Nowadays I have a nice body lotion made from coconut oil to keep my body smooth and soft. Coconut oil has a lot of beauty benefits. Read all their uses and make this winter coconut oil rich!

As a body moisturizer
A recent animal study found that when applied topically, virgin organic coconut oil for skin can speed up wound healing, and a human study found it to be effective in increasing hydration and reducing water loss in seriously dry skin. Sounds like a recipe for a really good lotion to us! It's a health-expert favorite, too. : "It smells delicious, is very affordable, and leaves skin feeling nourished and smooth."

To clean your face
Because coconut oil is naturally antibacterial, antifungal, moisturizing and, according to research, great for atopic dermatitis, many women swear by its use as a nighttime moisturizer for their face, too. Try the double-cleansing method: Simply rub the oil in circular motions all over your face and neck, giving yourself a gentle massage as you go. When you're done, wash off the residue with your favorite cleanser. (If you're adult-acne prone, avoid this technique unless you know your skin tolerates coconut oil.)

To add shine
Smooth a tiny amount of organic coconut oil onto your ends of your hair to add a little shine, or on flyaways if you have dark hair. Remember that a dab will do you: Any more and your hair might appear greasy.

In a luscious body scrub
Here's a little DIY beauty secret: That store-bought body scrub you save for special occasions? It's a waste of money. That's because you can make one yourself with ingredients you already have in your kitchen. . "I love to do this. It's wonderfully moisturizing, great for the skin, inexpensive, and blissfully absent of chemicals you can't pronounce!" To make your own, I suggest melting ½ c of coconut oil at very low heat. Pour it over 1 c of brown sugar or salt and stir well. If you have some on hand, add in five drops of your favorite essential oil or some pure vanilla extract for a scrub so fragrant you'll want to eat it.

For a little rubdown
Many store-bought massage oils have either coconut or jojoba oil as their base. Cut out the middleman and go straight to the bottle. It's slippery, skin-friendly, and coconut oil for skin moisturizes, too.

5 Cozy Sweaters!

Happy Monday!

La La Land swept the Golden Globes and proves this year is going to be better than the last! Who doesn't love a song and dance? So a musical winning multiple awards shows us we all want better. Good attracts good. Laws of nature! Brad Pitt was the shining star of the night. Not only did he look years younger, but out of that toxic relationship. He is on to better things. I won't even mention Meryl Streep, she made me squirm.
Here are some gorgeous sweaters to keep you cosy, as the cold, cold days are shriveling us up! We need warmth.

Comfort Food - Irish Stew For Supper!

Happy Saturday,

If like me, you love nothing more than watching Saturday Racing, you must be missing Channel 4 hosting. Matt Chapman needs to calm down , and we all must start a Gofund page for ITV to get an indoor studio or the presenters are going to freeze their butts off soon! All looks like a very poor presentation , but happy to see Rishi Persad , if it was only for less than five minutes.
What actually was Noel Fehily doing in the last race at Sandown? I was very disappointed with his performance. He kept a tight rein on the French horse Discours Dun Roi ,and kept her back from the start. He never actually attempted to loosen the reign and give her a free run. I would seriously put an inquiry into that race. At least when Krugermac came second last you could see Jamie Moore doing everything to try and win. At one point Krugermac was running up front. A very good and reliable jockey is Jamie Moore!! Discours Dun Roi coming last , when all day the betting shops had it as the favorite to win , is a scam. Very disappointed. Although I have learnt the trick. They seldom allow a horse a hat trick and hold it back for 2 races and then boom , it wins again like magic. Luckily I'm too smart and only put Discours Dun Roi in a lucky 15, because I hoped I'd be wrong. But Sabrina is never wrong, lol!

Okay, so if the snow, icy winds, fog, and bitter cold is easing off, you must be as happy as me. With this cold I can't get motivated to venture outside! Some nice comfort food is all I crave. Here is my favorite recipe of an Irish stew which I love. Enjoy!

Irish Stew
Ingredients:
1 tbsp sunflower oil
200g smoked streaky bacon, preferably in one piece, skinned and cut into chunks
900g stewing lamb, cut into large chunks
5 medium onion, sliced
5 carrot, sliced into chunks
3 bay leaf
small bunch thyme
100g pearl barley
850ml lamb stock
6 medium potato, cut into chunks
small knob of butter
3 spring onion, finely sliced

Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 160C/fan 140C/gas 3. Heat the oil in a flameproof casserole. Sizzle the bacon for 4 mins until crisp. Turn up the heat, then cook the lamb for 6 mins until brown. Remove the meats with a slotted spoon. Add the onions, carrots and herbs to the pan, then cook for about 5 mins until softened. Return the meat to the pan, stir in the pearl barley, pour over the stock, then bring to a simmer.
2. Sit the chunks of potato on top of the stew, cover, then braise in the oven, undisturbed, for about 1½ hrs until the potatoes are soft and the meat is tender. The stew can now be chilled and kept in the fridge for 2 days, then reheated in a low oven or on top of the stove. Remove from the oven, dot the potatoes with butter, scatter with the spring onions and serve scooped straight from the dish.

Tips & Resolutions For the New Year 2017!

Happy Thursday!

The New Year is well under-way. It's the 5th of January and by now you have probably started up a detox January, curbed your spending after splashing out in December. And made up a list of New Year resolutions! Among all the good things, January is bringing a new president to the white house. Definitely a sign that God wants things better in the world. With the way the democrats are behaving and not accepting their loss, is a disgrace. They should not be provoking Russia. Peacefulness and no war is all we want in this world - love and peace. Let us make it our number one priority on our New Year resolution chart!
The next things on the list we should focus on is to always find time for the things that make us happy and feel alive.
Third, is to always try to eat healthy ,  now we all want to live forever (not me). So be healthy without greed - i.e. eat pizza, but not more than a slice or two. Eat more colorful vegetables, add spices to your food. Cut out all fizzy drinks but never give up alcohol. A glass of wine or beer is good for your health, contrary to what people might think. Put a little cheese in your diet, it strengthens your bones. Likewise, if you have milk don't go for low-fat. Full fat is the healthy option. Put in the exercise. Everyday, go out for a walk or jog. Even if it means just window shopping in your city (walking around 3/4 hours) - do it!
Save some money. Get a jar, put in all your coins. Anything from 20p to the pound. I read somewhere that this year everyone is attempting to do the five pound challenge. It just means each time you are handed a five pound note, don't use it. Put it away in a box and save it for a year without counting. Just surprise yourself at the end of the year! Give yourself a treat, life is short so don't brush yourself aside. A small treat or a big one if you can afford it. Go ahead and do it. Buy a nice perfume and use it everyday! Smell nice, put on lipstick, even if you are just going down to the shops.
Always have time to listen to someone even if they are ranting. Allow yourself to be angry. It's good against stress and cry if you have to. If you feel really badly about someone, it's okay to cut them off. You are not God and it's okay to be human and slap down dickheads and arseholes!

Hope you enjoyed all my tips for a great beginning to the New Year, 2017!

Have fun and keep smiling.

Love & Peace.

5 Fashionable Boots!

Happy Tuesday!

Knee high boots and classic chunky ankle styles are the current trend for winter. Black and brown are the classic colors which combine well with all outfits. Stay clear of white shoes, although it might be fashionable in Essex, it's not any where else ;) Try to be versatile and put those heels on . I see so many people only wearing sneakers or flats which does nothing to lengthen the leg or make the legs look sexy. No we don't dress to please anyone, but dressing to appear smart, sexy and rich gives us extra self confidence and makes us more appealing and fun to get to know.

Dressing well does not end with a nice dress. NO. It goes down all the way to your shoes. Being smartly dressed is the key to looking like a well bred individual . No matter how much money you have if you wear sweat pants , jogging tops , t/shirts with no sleeves you will look like a bum and a destitute.

Here are 5 fashionable boots for the winter!

3. Ankle-high chunky boots / 34 dollars / Amazon.com
