Sun Damage And Skin Repair !!

Good Morning !! We all love the sun , and given a choice we would like sunny weather all year , and that is why California , Florida places in Asia are such popular holiday destinations ! Year Round Sun !
Although , with the sun , comes the risk of long term Skin Damage ! The main types of skin damage is fine lines and wrinkles . Over time the sun's UV rays damages fibres in the skin called elastin . The fibres break down , and the skin begins to sag , stretch and loses it's ability to ping back into shape .

Discolouration of the skin . This manifests itself as brown freckles and patches of darker permanent pigmentation on the skin .
Broken blood vessels , prolonged exposure to the sun causes this , mainly it appears on the face , especially on the nose . It is harmless but it's ageing . Your skin will try to heal its self by increasing the blood supply to the sun damaged area , resulting in a proliferation of broken blood vessels !

Ways to repair this sun damage to your skin would begin with" Drinking " loads of water .It won't get rid of the wrinkles , but keeping your skin hydrated will improve the appearance of your skin .
Improve pigmentation : there are plenty of over the counter products that will improve your pigmentation and bleach brown spots . They are not often as strong as those supplied by a dermatologist but the results are still good .
Retinol , this cream can produce new collagen , but they cannot repair the elastin fibres .
Exfoliation , is a good way to remove dead skin build-up . A smoother surface will give a nice reflection of light , making skin look even and you can appear younger !
Eating foods high in Antioxidants . Cherries , walnuts and asparagus are all good sources of antioxidant melatonin , which protects the skin against UV radiation and stimulates new cell growth !

Chicken , Red Pepper Lemon & Olive Tray Bake !!

This recipe come rain or sunshine , this simple classic one tray dish is bursting with Mediterranean flavours and boasts bundles of nutrients !!

Ingredients

4 full chicken legs ( drumsticks & thighs attached )
2 large peppers de-seeded and sliced
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon of dried basil
3 bay leaves
2 lemons sliced
sea salt and pepper to taste
A handful of Olives

Preheat the oven to 190 C , or 350 F , Gas 5 , Place the chicken and peppers in the baking dish . Top with olive oil and balsamic vinegar ,and toss well . Sprinkle over the dried basil, scrunch up the bay leaves and throw them in ; season then place the dish in the oven and bake for 45 minutes , stir it once midway . Drop in the olives and lemons sliced when there is about 8 minutes to go . Serve with garlic bread and a side salad . It is delicious and we love having this for dinner . Happy cooking ! If you love garlic add 2 pods for extra flavour but leave it out if you have a date :)

Am I too early with Autumn fashion wear ?Anyways where's my choice , you know there can always be a chill in the air , with all the political faux paus , lol .. but besides the injustice ,  I heard on the weather report it's going to be warm for the next three months at least , something about the El Nino wind blowing this way . Anyways after the cool rainy August we had , maybe some warm pleasant weather is very welcome .
The Off white dress can still be worn without the jacket and the red suade ankle boots are fashionable anytime . The saddlebag is currently all the trend and a very similar one to this is also available at Primark , for alot cheaper .

Home Decor , To Forget The SAD Pictures Everywhere !!

While we are all busy with our own lives , stressful as it is , we cannot escape the awful news on telly , where somebody's having it worse than us , the newspapers , the children dead , drowned and being washed up on beaches . These are not normal photos to wake up too !! Give me anytime the paparazzi chasing celebrities , that's normal in this world ! What's happening to the World , Wars , Poverty , Refugees ? Of course there are people who pretend to be blind to all the troubles in the world and continue to  focus on bad politics and unjust policies .
There is one saying that I cannot Forget , I had heard it somewhere ,it is " NO ONE PUTS  THEIR CHILDREN IN A BOAT , UNLESS THE WATER IS SAFER THAN THE LAND "  Haunting !!

So while Germany seems to be doing the most , for the refugees and taking them in , haunting scenes at the train station where the refugees kept chanting "Germany , Germany " At least they know a safe spot and someone who will give them safety and shelter .. How many people , countries are willing to do that ? Very few , God Bless Germany .

Trendy Sneakers !!

Happy 1 st of September , the summer holidays are almost over and the kids are about to return back to school . They are so excited to see their friends again and be in their new classes . I love to see them so excited , and it makes me a very happy Mum . New shoes bought , uniform etc , etc not cheap but well worth it !
So maybe now I can go jogging again , keeping fit is so important for me , although sometimes I wonder why I even bother :)  I read somewhere walking and jogging daily adds seven years to your life , lol .. my life is so stressful I could do without the added seven years ;)
So alot of people enjoy walking and regularly their only choice of footwear is sneakers . I walk alot but own only one pair which I never use , unless I'm running  !!
