Redcar ... I Love You !!!

I remember the first time I saw the name Redcar , I wondered where was that .. I soon discovered it is the most beautiful seaside town and it's right here in England . It lies in the North of England and it's the most picturesque place I have ever seen ! It's famous for having a race course but that is not all that it's famous for . The town is known for it's Steelworks . The Steel-plant  has been standing for more than 100 years and employs 1700 people, yes a very big part of the population at the sea-side town , is employed at the  plant .
Now the government has announced the closing of the Steel plant so that means 1700 people in one go , end up being unemployed !! Steel-making is part of the whole community there . They are down by the sea and there is not a whole lot of other opportunities . To top it all there is already alot of unemployment in the area .
Redcar Racecourse already reflects the lack of wealth in the area . It is the one racecourse in the whole country that has the cheapest admission rates . They have not put up their prices for the last seven years . The unemployment is going to affect the racecourse , the heart of the local community . The locals who unwind and go there to have fun and enjoy themselves ,will be out of pocket , and facing a bleak future . And not only the racecourse , but alot of the other small businesses are going to feel the backlash of this large scale unemployment !
The shutting down of the steel-plant is going to affect the whole area , where are you going to find 1700 jobs for those people ?
Redcar's biggest Race meeting of the season , taking place this Saturday is being completely overshadowed by state of the community and the loss of 1700 jobs at the Steel-plant .
The Racecourse is doing it's bit for raising awareness , and it announced yesterday that anyone wearing "Save Our Steel " T/Shirts would get free admission to the course enclosure this weekend . The government need to see what it means to the whole community , steel making , it's a national asset and the more pressure and media coverage might just make a difference to all those people's lives !

My prayers are with all those people in Redcar , who are going to be suffering poverty due to no fault of theirs , but by decisions made by people who have never actually worked hard for their money . Yes politicians earn obscene amounts money and it's pretty easy work , make 70 %of cuts to all important areas , and mind you none  to their own pay packets . On that note they are contented but there is a saying "No amount of money will buy you Good Health " so yes we are all young enough to see , where their money takes them ...lol ;)

Happy Sunday Folks , It's Super-moon night and though it's an awesome phenomena NO I don't think the world is going to end , but be open to lots of changes !

Blood SuperMoon ... Anything To Do With The Apocalypse , I Wonder ???

The Earth is set to experience a rare blood supermoon and lunar eclipse combo on 27 September. The supermoon total lunar eclipse comes about when a supermoon – which occurs when the moon reaches its closest point to the earth due to its elliptical orbit – coincides with the almost perfect alignment of the moon, earth and sun, with our planet blocking the light from the star in our solar system.

The moon will have a red tinge, and will appear brighter and 14% larger as a result of the perfect timing of the astronomical events.

However, as with many astronomical phenomena, an end-of-the-world prediction is accompanying the rare occurrence – there have only been five examples since the early 1900s when they came about every 18 years (1910, 1928, 1946, 1964, and 1982) until a 33-year break prior to the upcoming one at the end of September. I have only lived through one in 1982 , so bring it on .. I await with baited breath !!

The Blood Moon Prophecy was first predicted by Christian minister Mark Biltz in 2008 and then echoed by John Hagee in 2014, who said that the blood moon acts as a type of omen and originates from the Book of Joel, which reads: "The sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes."

But it's not the first apocalyptic prediction. In fact, we have had to ignore nine since the turn of the decade. All of which were obviously wrong.

But why do we now prefer to ignore our better sense and be rational ? No we wholeheartedly agree that the world will end , it's all about uncertainty . When life is hard the Politicians become dictators , War is the only way they can make a point , peace is a language nobody understands . Homelessness , poverty is so common place people should be ashamed to say it can happen in the 21st century in a first world country ! So people clutch for straws and if someone jumps up and says it's a sign God is angry and it's going to be the end of the world , that would fit and people will clutch for it . Generally people who are having a hard time will tend to believe it more . And Yes , somewhere deep down  I believe something is going to happen ...what is it going to be ??? Yes something ( a comet , rock  whatever ) is  going to fly past the earth shortly , will it strike us  ..I think Not , but we should be so lucky if it does . This place needs a good old shake up and the rich need to feel a burst in their bubble . The only thing though we need to fear is fear itself !

Turmeric In Tea ... Get Healthy !!

Turmeric , is an Indian spice which is long associated with beneficial health properties . Very few people actually use this spice and if you don't do Indian cooking you would not know in what to use it !!

Turmeric is known for it's bright yellow colour and is often used to colour an Indian Palou ( a delicious rice dish ) Well aside from colouring the rice , it is also used in most other Indian dishes , so Indian people get all the health benefits of turmeric , from their food .

The Benefits of turmeric are plentiful . It detoxes the body . Protects the liver tissue . Boosts immunity .  Cleanses and purify 's the blood . Eases symptoms of coughs and colds . Improves circulation . Improves overall appearance of the skin . Prevents internal blood clotting . Reduces bad cholesterol . Reduces inflammation , and last stimulates secretion of bile .

So if you have never cooked Indian food and you still want to be able to use turmeric for all it's health benefits and don't know how , it's simple . Boiling water
Some milk

Fill the mug almost full with boiling water . Add the ginger teabag and half a tsp of turmeric  let it soak for about 7 minutes . Remove the teabag and add the cinnamon and the honey . Fill  the mug up now with milk and stir . Enjoy your delicious mug of tea and the added health benefits it offers !

Gorgeous Miracle Mascara's !!

Everybody loves a good Mascara . Unless your sporting some gorgeous fake eyelashes which is really not my thing , the glue goes everywhere , the lash's well it's always too big for my eyes and I have to clip them to size so fake eyelashes , well I give them a miss . I do love a good mascara though . Always looking for the best !
Often I'm in the shop and there is so much choice for mascara's , and it's not like you can try them all out  there you only have two eyes ;)
So I always ask friends , girls hanging around , what's their best mascara .
I have managed to make a list of a couple of the best mascaras around , that promise to give you big fat lashes and they do a pretty damn good job .. Applause !!

Some are a bit pricey but even if it costs a bit , you could use it for a good 3 months so it works out a bargain ! I'll start with some of the more expensive ones and go down to the cheaper ones but they all work a treat for whatever your budget !

1. Nars Audacious Mascara for 20 pounds . The brush sports shorter bristles as well as longer ones , which help catch every single eyelash . It lengthens rather than fattens but gives a very clean finish .

2. Lancome Hypnose Volume-A-Porter at 22 pounds . It separates the lashes beautifully , the result is huge fanned out glossy lashes that don't smudge . Great buy !

3. Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara is 17.50 ( pounds) . Although the brush has short bristles , the wand delivers super sized multi-layered lashes . It's a classic in the making .

4. Max Factor Velvet Volume False Lash effect Mascara is an affordable 11.99 ( pounds ) I personally love Max Factor and this comes in a velvety mousse formula and turns the lashes big and supple . Very good natural look !

5. Maybelline The Colossal Chaotic Lash is only 7.99 ( pounds ) It doesn't immediatelly give you the fat lash look , it needs to be layered up but it does eventually deliever the large spidery lashes it promised .

6. Mua Extreme Curl Mascara is a very cheap 3.99 ( pounds ) shapes lashes beautifully from root to tip , and although you need to build up layers it's a very good buy for that price . I always keep one in my bag to top up my lashs on the go :)

We Have A Duty To Help < Where Is That , Generosity ??

Happy Sunday .. I thought I would share this wonderful piece with you .
Being a mother , protecting taking care of your children and doing your best for them is what we are put here on this earth for . We give birth to the next generation .. in this capitalist society , where there is the super rich and so much poverty side by side and nothing is being done to look after and help the people . Everyday someone new becomes homeless , and I worry it's me next .
What the hell is happening with this world ?? The attitude of people , what comes to mind is the words of Marie Antoinette wife  of Louis 16 th  and Queen of France who on the eve of the French Revolution uttered the words "let them eat cake "upon hearing the complaints from the peasants that there was not enough bread to go around . That is the extent of how this changing world is showing how much they value it's people . Maybe a revolution is what's needed after all !!
Whatever your worries there is a God , don't lose faith .. It's the human population I fear , who will give up having children , out of fear that we cannot afford to have the next generation !!
So what would you be left with , the offspring of the rich , who care more about taking selfies , and posting pics on instagram " self absorbed " posers with little brains ! A generation who would evolve to have one arm longer than the other , so no more a self stick would be necessary to get the perfect ONE :)
Every generation who has walked this earth has been on a quest  not only for survival , but for happiness , fulfillment , meaning and magic . That urge has not stopped with me , it is a part of my DNA and I am going to continue to be hopeful good things will happen soon for this crumbling society , who have lost  their way and  blindly follow the Masses .. but like I read somewhere , beware most of the time the  "M"is silent in MASSES !!!

Sun Damage And Skin Repair !!

Good Morning !! We all love the sun , and given a choice we would like sunny weather all year , and that is why California , Florida places in Asia are such popular holiday destinations ! Year Round Sun !
Although , with the sun , comes the risk of long term Skin Damage ! The main types of skin damage is fine lines and wrinkles . Over time the sun's UV rays damages fibres in the skin called elastin . The fibres break down , and the skin begins to sag , stretch and loses it's ability to ping back into shape .

Discolouration of the skin . This manifests itself as brown freckles and patches of darker permanent pigmentation on the skin .
Broken blood vessels , prolonged exposure to the sun causes this , mainly it appears on the face , especially on the nose . It is harmless but it's ageing . Your skin will try to heal its self by increasing the blood supply to the sun damaged area , resulting in a proliferation of broken blood vessels !

Ways to repair this sun damage to your skin would begin with" Drinking " loads of water .It won't get rid of the wrinkles , but keeping your skin hydrated will improve the appearance of your skin .
Improve pigmentation : there are plenty of over the counter products that will improve your pigmentation and bleach brown spots . They are not often as strong as those supplied by a dermatologist but the results are still good .
Retinol , this cream can produce new collagen , but they cannot repair the elastin fibres .
Exfoliation , is a good way to remove dead skin build-up . A smoother surface will give a nice reflection of light , making skin look even and you can appear younger !
Eating foods high in Antioxidants . Cherries , walnuts and asparagus are all good sources of antioxidant melatonin , which protects the skin against UV radiation and stimulates new cell growth !

Chicken , Red Pepper Lemon & Olive Tray Bake !!

This recipe come rain or sunshine , this simple classic one tray dish is bursting with Mediterranean flavours and boasts bundles of nutrients !!

Ingredients

4 full chicken legs ( drumsticks & thighs attached )
2 large peppers de-seeded and sliced
3 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon of dried basil
3 bay leaves
2 lemons sliced
sea salt and pepper to taste
A handful of Olives

Preheat the oven to 190 C , or 350 F , Gas 5 , Place the chicken and peppers in the baking dish . Top with olive oil and balsamic vinegar ,and toss well . Sprinkle over the dried basil, scrunch up the bay leaves and throw them in ; season then place the dish in the oven and bake for 45 minutes , stir it once midway . Drop in the olives and lemons sliced when there is about 8 minutes to go . Serve with garlic bread and a side salad . It is delicious and we love having this for dinner . Happy cooking ! If you love garlic add 2 pods for extra flavour but leave it out if you have a date :)

While we are all busy with our own lives , stressful as it is , we cannot escape the awful news on telly , where somebody's having it worse than us , the newspapers , the children dead , drowned and being washed up on beaches . These are not normal photos to wake up too !! Give me anytime the paparazzi chasing celebrities , that's normal in this world ! What's happening to the World , Wars , Poverty , Refugees ? Of course there are people who pretend to be blind to all the troubles in the world and continue to  focus on bad politics and unjust policies .
There is one saying that I cannot Forget , I had heard it somewhere ,it is " NO ONE PUTS  THEIR CHILDREN IN A BOAT , UNLESS THE WATER IS SAFER THAN THE LAND "  Haunting !!

So while Germany seems to be doing the most , for the refugees and taking them in , haunting scenes at the train station where the refugees kept chanting "Germany , Germany " At least they know a safe spot and someone who will give them safety and shelter .. How many people , countries are willing to do that ? Very few , God Bless Germany .

Keeping Your Body Smooth !!

Hair removal is part of our natural everyday beauty routine . At least 90 % of us remove all our body hair and we start doing it in our teens . So if we our shaving everyday skin gets itchy if we forget to shave the next day and it's so uncomfortable . So as much as possible I don't shave but prefer waxing which keeps you smooth longer .

Trendy Sneakers !!

Happy 1 st of September , the summer holidays are almost over and the kids are about to return back to school . They are so excited to see their friends again and be in their new classes . I love to see them so excited , and it makes me a very happy Mum . New shoes bought , uniform etc , etc not cheap but well worth it !
So maybe now I can go jogging again , keeping fit is so important for me , although sometimes I wonder why I even bother :)  I read somewhere walking and jogging daily adds seven years to your life , lol .. my life is so stressful I could do without the added seven years ;)
So alot of people enjoy walking and regularly their only choice of footwear is sneakers . I walk alot but own only one pair which I never use , unless I'm running  !!
