Stick Thin ... Is That Normal ?

As I pour through all the news on the net and headlines on the mail and magazines , I often see talk about stick thin models on the Catwalk . Now it seems the worrying trend continues to pour over to chain street stores , catalogs and everywhere ! Our Kate was looking painfully thin at the James Bond premier as well :(

Why is it so in demand to have these stick thin models ? It is not the average woman who is stick thin and nor is it the kind of woman a man lusts after . Is it not true that men like Booty , Hips and Boobs ?
Young girls aspire to be like these models and are often  frustrated when they are not actually achieving that look , from normal eating . Aside from that I have always wanted to know why do they always recruit models , who happen to be so tall ? That is not the average height of a women . This model thing is not  the right word to use to describe them because they are NO Model of our standard woman . I would love to call them some bizarre word , like "Aliens " . These Aliens , will show you how to wear the latest fashion ! Seems appropriate to me ;)

The women of our generation are completely losing themselves over alot of things . They think stick thin girls are fashionable and all female editors of fashion magazines endorse this weird promotion . I want to see women of all sizes on the Catwalk , in magazines on billboards and that means short girls like myself also having a chance in the fashion industry .
The women are also becoming so busy , trying to prove that women can do everything what  a man can do , that they are losing their uniqueness . Women were not created to do everything a man can do . Women were created to do everything a man can't do !

Why is it that women are so obsessed with Boobs ? They all want to increase their bust . Be okay and satisfied with what you have , I can understand if they are saggy or make you feel embarrassed  , a little bit of work is understandable , especially mothers who have breast- fed their babies .  But the fact remains , big boobs or small boobs men always prefer blow jobs anyway , and are hardly interested in the size of your tits if its your personality and cheeky charm they have fallen in love with ! Women need to be more woman and show men we are different then them , it is not a contest to show you can compete with them because you can't ! Women would be truly equal to men the day they run in the Olympics , alongside a man and beat him to a Gold medal . I guess that day will be the day Women will not have to fight to prove they can do all a Man Can !

Grateful ?? On A Sunday , Can We Feel Ungrateful ??

Happy Sunday !!

Today after a very long time an old friend came to visit me ,and how nice it is to catch up with faces we have not seen in ages . It is even better when they remember what you like and what you don't ! So if anyone knows me well would know that I find money very important and it is the key factor in surviving . Without money , you are a nobody and being a single mother with three kids , I almost always have no money and I always fear I will have nothing . not a nice way to live , but life is seldom very nice !
So my dear friend visits and she brings me a bunch of flowers , yes I love flowers and a scratch card .  She does know that if it's a birthday or celebration and anyone asks me "what  would you like ? " it's always a scratch card or a lotto ticket . I always live in the hope maybe one day it will happen and I won't have to live in fear of being poor without anything !
So I am super excited when I see it , and I say " Nice , how thoughtful I know this five pound scratch card , I have seen it in the shops !! " She says" No dear it's a ten pound scratch card ! " I look again closely and it is indeed a ten pound scratch card , which looks exactly like the five pound one almost no difference ! What a cheat and a rip off I think ! I am certainly not feeling happy or grateful , you could have two five pound ones for that price and a double chance of winning ! The world is certainly getting bad , getting ripped off with a scratch card ! I would never buy it ! Never !!
Maybe she looked at me like I was not grateful , but I looked at her like she was stupid to spend money on something which is exactly like something half the price !
So I halfheartedly thought maybe I would have a prize on it and it would cheer me up ! No it had nothing on it and I truly felt she wasted her money !
Just thought I'd share my Sunday with you ,and show you the scratch card , it looks exactly like the five pound one and it's double the price . Don't be ripped off ! I would never spend any money on that !!
It's very hard to feel grateful , in a very tough world . I wish life was different , but it's not . Enjoy your Sunday , and it's okay to feel ungrateful we are human after all ! No God would never think badly of us , if we are willing to confess ingratitude !
I saw a nice movie on telly tonight , which I never got to see when it was first made , and what a wonderful film it was " Angela's Ashes " it had the best script ever and I loved all the lines , eye opening about poverty in the 1930's and a struggling family in Limerick , Ireland !
One of the best lines in the movie , I thought was " You might be poor and your shoes might be broken , but your mind is a Palace " truly beautiful !
The other quite random line which made me smile  was when the boy went to Confession ( which he did regularly ! ) He tells the priest "Bless me father for I have sinned , I have done some dirty things , " and the priest says "What was it , with yourself , with another or with a beast "  And the boy thinks , this priest is not from here he's from the Country " Beast ??? " he is opening my eyes to new things  lol ...
Good Movie , and definitely  a recommendation from me , if you have never seen it ,

first time around . A movie to touch your soul and spirit ! I shall go to bed with it still stirring my thoughts !

Little Black Dress , For Every Occasion !!

Good morning/afternoon/evening/night wherever you are in your day hope you are smiling and well !
Today We are back to making a fashion statement . We often do it with a little black dress , we all have one or in my case a few . No it doesn't all have to be boring and dull and just the shade of black . We can throw a little bit of extra colour in the dress like some white detail or a gold belt and allow the dress to stand out .

Our beautiful Kate , Duchess of Cambridge wore a Red dress to the most recent banquet for the visiting Chinese Premier . Maybe a black dress would have been better suited for that occasion , lol ... The pomp and ceremony given to the Chinese , and a massive deal struck with them hhmm very questionable !  A parade down the Mall a welcome like no other and the same day 1700 jobs lost , that means British people unemployed , because more steel works are shut down , all due to the Chinese  dumping steel at low costs . Grand scale unemployment here as a result , but of course the Royal Family don't care , nor does the government . A Banquet for people ruining the livelihood of the country , but our future King , Prince Charles did not attend and I am so pleased ,at least someone cares !!! I remember reading a long time ago , the Prince called the Chinese , Stiff Wax works .. seems very true ! The Dali Lama over the Chinese any day . Of course anything made in China is not built to last and that is just about everything nowadays , oh yes not babies , lol they are made in va-china ;)

Chocolate Dessert Recommendation .... Lush :)

Today I had the most delicious Belgian chocolate pudding EVER ... So I just had to put it up here on my blog as a product recommendation . It is so delicious and it looks and tastes better than the picture on the box , even suggests .

I have eaten alot of luxury desserts in my life , but I have never tasted one so delicious and so well priced . No it is not from any of the big brand shops but from the humble Iceland range of luxury products .

I could eat one everyday for the rest of my life , it is that delicious , and my mouth waters just writing about it .
It is oozy in the center with creamy rich Belgian ( best in the world ) chocolate !
It is a must try for all chocolate dessert lovers . I promise you , you will want to eat it everyday !

Go down  to your local ICELAND and get a box for yourself . You could also gift it to your girlfriend , she will love you more for it and it costs less than a bunch of flowers . I can't rave about it more than I have ... It is a rich , fabulously good chocolate dessert !

Awesome Winter Boots !!

Boots knee high and classic chunky ankle styles are the currant trend for autumn and winter . Black and brown are the classic colours which combine well with all outfits . Stay clear of white shoes and boots , although it might be fashionable in Essex , it's not any where else ;)
Try to be versatile and put those heels on . I see so many people only wearing sneakers or flats which does nothing to lengthen the leg or make the legs look sexy . No we don't dress to please anyone , but dressing to appear smart , sexy and rich gives us extra self confidence and makes us more appealing and fun to get to know .
Dressing well , does not end with a nice dress , NO it goes down all the way to your shoes . Being smartly dressed is the key to looking like a well bred individual . No matter how much money you have if you wear sweat pants , jogging tops , t/shirts with no sleeves you will look like a bum and a destitute .
You can have class and all the attributes of being from high society , even if you are not , by doing all the appropriate things . Dressing well , Being dignified , speaking well articulate , not drinking excessively , not being loud and obnoxious , these are some of the attributes of a classy lady , in case you are wondering where to begin . Money a swanky job does not immediately say a person of standard and class . Yesterday I read a news item of a University lecturer who got so drunk and unruly on a plane , and got even worse , turned abusive when she was asked to behave and stop drinking . The police were called and she was escorted off the plane , but not before she even slapped the police officer ! She quickly resigned from her very prestigious post of University Lecturer .  So you see , be the best you can be , being classy does not need money or an influential job ! Good shoes says alot about you :)

Easy To Bake Apple Pie :)

With plenty of apples just plucked , the harvest festival celebrated and an abundance of fruit available at this time of the year , it's definitely time for a homemade apple pie !
I can remember all the times through the many years when I lived in the Netherlands going with my children to the Philips fruit farm and plucking Apples & Pears at this time of the year . Here in England there are no fruit farms close to me so we just buy the apples at the supermarket , adapt to your surroundings ;) !

I don't make flash desserts , so a very easy recipe I do for the kids and myself which is a big hit each time . Thought I'd share it with you all , who are not into cooking and want to dish up something simple and  delicious .

Get a packet of ready made puff pastry from the supermarket . Lay it out , either cut it into a circle or just leave it rectangular . Core your apples . Then thinly  slice it so they cook quick in the oven  . Lay it over the pastry sheet . Now liberally cover the apples with alot of brown sugar . Add a couple of pieces of ( baking butter ) over the top of the sugar . Now warm up your over to 200 degrees put the apple pie in and let it bake for 20/25 minutes till it's a nice golden brown . Five minutes before you take it out , add some chopped pistachio's or cashew nuts according  to your preference and let it  roast over . Take the pie out  , let it cool down and it's ready for serving . Delicious ! Bon Appetite !

 Get Cooking and enjoy delicious homemade food . It's healthy and cheaper and you know your kids will always remember your delicious food and will talk about your cooking long after you have departed from this world :) Keep smiling !!

Okay so I know not everyone has good / happy days , so don't be annoyed if I write happy friday , just keeping upbeat and you should also do the same no matter how bad it is . I wish my life was a bed of roses but it's not so I'm just wading in waters too deep but I don't care ! Happy Friday and Cheers !

Anyways the topic of today's blog is emojis !! We all add them to our posts , emails , texts well actually anywhere we can . Today I read two designers in the US have designed a whole set of different vagina emojis . Because some emojis can be bland and restrictive these are colourful , different and surprisingly really neat to look at . They are beautifully creative and designed for body postivity . They were created to empower people of all sexuality to express themselves and communicate their desires . A full look can be viewed on the " flirtmoji " website .
Later a whole range of body emojis will be released from butts to penises ! Done in a tasteful fashion for even the prudes .
I remember a long time ago , after I had my first child and at the six week check up the mid wife asked me So you are feeling alright , everything good and have you looked to see everything is back to as it used to be ! I was stunned , no I have never looked down there , so I don't know if it's as it was before . She was surprised , and urged me to look with a mirror . Well hhmm .. but these emojis gives everyone a good idea lol , if you don't look at yourself  ,like me !

We don't need worries , although it follows us around and forcibly it wants to be friends with us , lol ... But I say  don't let it bring you down always GET UP , Dress Up and Show Up . As bad as things can get it can't get rock bottom , if you already feel you are at the bottom . So put on a great outfit , smile and take on the world !!

No they are the poorest of society. It pays to be a banker , a politician with regular 10% increases in salary and yes basically be a cheat , a liar and you will be rich and set for life . OH yes don't have kids because they cost money which is always too little and they need alot of healthy stuff to grow and be strong , so think about it all , hard work never pays ! My thought for the day ,along with a great outfit !  Be Awesome become a footballer , they earn tons , in case you are a girl become a model maybe a page 3 girl it all pays . Maybe I need to get my kit off ;)

Plaid Fashion !!

Good Morning , and Happy Monday everyone !!!

Plaid fashion is here for the autumn months and will continue to be a big trend in the 2015 / 2016 season . It is generally a garment which is automatically recognized and associated with the colder months . It has always been around for decades but now the big fashion houses and the high street stores are putting a spin on it and making it a fashion item we will love to be seen wearing .

The traditional checkered  prints are moving from classic tartan to a more modern appeal. We have seen plenty of modern iterations in recent runways and look books. It's more abstract, minimalist , polished and sophisticated. In other words, start to think of plaid as a way to venture outside the box. Bright colours checks and plaids brighten up the mood and make each outfit eye catching and individual .

Drinking Culture ??

Happy Wednesday ..it's mid-week , still 2 days to go before the weekend ! To cheer yourself up no don't reach for the alcohol , I notice British people are the only ones who drink too much ! No don't get me wrong but it seems to be encouraged everywhere !!
Example visit a beautiful Racecourse and alcoholic drinks are served ,and it's just 1.30 in the afternoon.. lol ..People are walking around sipping champagne , wine ,  beer . Why is that ?? At pubs , lunch is regularly downed with alcohol and it's just after mid day . Yet talk shows talk about how people use the excuse it's after five so I'm having a drink ! I see people drinking at all hours no one uses excuses !
The fat cat bankers at the Canary Wharf wine bars completely drunk throwing paper planes and very contented , with their rich , over-indulged lifestyle . Is it the alcohol culture , or are people tired and bored with this pretentious world , they would rather have tons of alcohol and pretend , poverty , homelessness , war don't exist .
If it  was not for us the barely managing to survive people who actually hold the country together , people would suddenly find  themselves in a very helpless situation !
Take the over worked underpaid nurses , yes  they work all hours even to help those very rich people at basic pay . Mid- wives who help deliver the next generation . It's about time we started paying these people like footballers they deserve it . More people would aspire to go into that profession serving people . I'm not wrong . What about the street sweepers , the bin men who work very hard to keep things clean and earn a pittance . What if everyone wakes up and sees the place filthy would they get their brooms , dust pans and do some cleaning I doubt it ! People need to see it's the the most undervalued  people who do the most important jobs that show off the country to it's standards .
Why is it that so many cuts are being made  by the government and putting normal people into so much of financial difficulties . If they have a deficit , isn't it because they used tons and tons of money to bail out the banks . So why are they not getting the money out of the banks . They need to pay back everything . Or has everyone like those up in power , forgotten where the deficit came from .
As long as Politicians keep furnishing the ordinary civilians with untruths , the country is not stepping forward . But people are growing wiser everyday , to the antics of the ones in power . The internet is a wonderful tool , you learn so much and no longer can people be kept in the dark .
On that note , enjoy your morning/evening/night wherever you are in your day . Take Care and keep smiling . Don't let bad stuff get you down . No matter how down you are , never feel defeated .You have a journey in life , and you will get to go along the road . Something always turns up .
I did read an interesting post on FB the other day . don't tell people your problems , because 20% don't care and the other 80 % are happy you have them . My thought is strangers are always better than relatives and friends . Whatever the situation , somebody will come forward to lend a hand . God bless xx

Tasty Snack For The Kids After School !

Good morning/afternoon/evening/night  wherever you are in your day , I hope you're smiling .. kind of hard , but keep trying .
When your kids get back from school aren't they always hungry ? I know most young ones immediately ask for a bag of crisps , cookies and other unsuitable snacks . Yes it's easy to pass them the crisps ( chips ) but it's unhealthy unless , like me you only eat them twice a month . Why do I even bother to be healthy and eat well and exercise .. I certainly don't want too !! But I have always eaten healthy all my life so I unfortunately can't change my habits . I remember the first time I tasted Cola I was about 19 years old , it tasted so horrid , I don't drink it and I don't crave  it either ! Water was what my parents gave me and although we had squash at home it was mainly kept for guests so I just drank loads of tea and water . My children can hardly believe me but it's true !
So here's an idea for  a quick snack . The kids will love it , when they get home from school . It's cheap quick and easy and  I promise with the fruit it's sweet and so delicious added bonus it's healthy to boot !

Pineapple skewers with mint sugar .

You could make the mint sugar on a free day and store it in a jar away in the cupboards for anytime you need to use it .
Ingredients

A can of tinned pineapple
A couple of mint leaves about 20 to a kilo of sugar you can bottle it and use later .
Sugar
Some whipped cream
Half a tsp of cinnamon

Get your can of pineapples opened . Cut it into wedges and thread it on to a skewer .
Make the mint sugar by blending the sugar and the mint leaves in a food processor until well blended and is a lovely green colour .
Into the whipped cream add the cinnamon powder and put in a small bowl to serve at the side of the skewers .
Get the pineapple skewers sprinkle a little bit of sugar and let it grill in the oven for a couple of minutes . Add some more sugar and serve with the cinnamon cream .
The kids will love it !

Telly News On Sunday , ONLY BAD STUFF !!!

Happy Sunday !! If it was a happy day for you . Every day is a different day and brings us new joys , anxiety , boredom , anger and many more emotions . It would be a dull day if every day was the same and we never experienced stupid people , ahem ahem our PM says he would readily push the button for a nuclear missile , if necessary . That is not only foolish but it would put the whole country in danger , because of course " retaliation " is not a word he's heard off , possibly !! Oh and all the money he would keep investing into drones to kill and take more lives makes this country vulnerable , but of course people are war hungry , and don't want to advocate peace and then they wonder  why we face so many hazards and potential threats . Give peace a chance .. Stop Wars and concentrate on the betterment and the uplifting of the citizens spirits !

All the news on telly today was abuzz with demonstrations , threats of riots against cuts by the government ( imagine that's the news on a Sunday  !! ) I can remember Sundays being peaceful , years ago and they could not even find proper news because it was Sunday ,and so they had a very short edition ! Peaceful days of long ago ! And yet I wonder WHY people continue to have children in this wretched , horrid world , with no love , and kindness for anyone .. Greed , Corruption and Politicians seem to be the order of the day ,everyday ...oh so agonizing , will hate ever stop pouring out of everyone's pores anytime soon ? The good news is everything is a cycle and GOOD will come back and that's why we have just elected a Labour Leader in the form of Jeremy Corban . He is what this Country needs , old school needs a return , peace is what he knew as a child and wants it for today's young people, who know nothing more than Wars , poverty and Bad Stuff ! On Question Time the other night I could not believe people were so against Jeremy Corban's decision that he would never push the button to activate a nuclear missile . I think it's a very clever man who has the best interests of his country at heart who doesn't want to put his people at risk . I love Jeremy Corban . I just wish he was a bit younger , how old will he be at the next elections, which seems like still a century to go with the Tory's dragging us down ! Oh what a long , long miserable road for everyone, who's not blessed with tons of money !

Hope your week is good and the TV stations starts giving us more joyful stories . Can the world change ? I often dream a portal will open and we will be transported into another dimension with so much good overflowing , with people that actually like each other , no matter what the colour of their skin , race or economic standing . But that's because I'm a sci-fi fan but then again it  might just happen  , fingers crossed :) HHmmm ,maybe the aliens have landed , Isn't everyone so afraid of the Russians and Putin , lol maybe he's the alien from another planet wanting to take over the world ;)

Pretty Blouses to Brighten Your Mood !!

Beautiful Blouses to add colour and glamour to your wardrobe . Almost everyday , every woman's first thought is what am I going to wear ?
My advice is get at least a couple of new blouses every season and switch them around . Wear them over jeans , skirts , jeggings ,leggings , maxi skirts or denim shorts . So you give the appearance of having a lot of outfits but in truth you are being fashion savvy and getting the best out of a few items .
Some of my favourite blouses would be in bright colours or I would go for darker tones depending on how I feel . Bright colours show your fun , happy disposition but if your feeling grumpy by all means get the black and browns out . One thing to be proud about is not deny yourself your feelings . It is quite okay to be happy and it's equally okay to be sad and cry . Nobody is happy at all times . We are human beings  and we have emotions . If you don't allow your feelings to show you are going to be emotionally unhappy and it's a big weighty burden to carry around . Very often , if I don't like something , I don't hesitate to express my feelings , so I feel better and I can continue with my day without letting it fester .
A few days ago I was very sad to read about the suicide of Jim Carrey's girlfriend  . A lovely young Irish girl living in the USA . She must have been sad and unhappy , but unfortunately she did not express her feelings to anyone and the result is shocking , a suicide !!! Suicide is never the answer . No matter how bad things are , we have to be strong and bare it . It makes us into stronger individuals with more life experience . Besides that , how bad can life be ? Somebody once said , if you have a roof over your head and food in  your belly that's all that matters . However alot of people don't even have that a roof over their head . So that's a bad way , still you will survive , somebody will take you in and give you a sofa to sleep on . It's not so bad , they do it on the soap Eastenders all the time , somebody or the other turns up with nothing and manages to stay with someone and has a

place to crash . However I don't understand how they always manage to hook themselves up with some kind of work in a few days ...haha , it's the imaginary world and the out of reality scriptwriters , who are to blame ! In reality the unemployment is out of control and poverty and homelessness is the currant state of this Country ! I just read somewhere there are more than 100,000 children homeless in Britain " Shameful " But with an Elitist running the Country , from a rich , privileged background , what more can you expect ? David Cameron , he has no sympathy for the poor , sick , elderly , the veterans  and  the children and that is pretty much everyone except the rich and the Bankers :)
