Breastfeeding, Sneakers, and Advice

Happy Wednesday,

The weather has still not improved and parts of England even had some snow fall. So all the talk about global warming is best ignored. Today a short piece about breastfeeding. It's the best thing you can give to your baby. Mother's milk is nutritious, but if you can't breastfeed your baby, don't feel too guilty because in my humble opinion-- with all the junk food around and alcohol, I don't believe mother's are making the best milk. And if you have to open a can of milk for your baby it's going to have exactly all the vitamins and nutrition  your baby needs. On to another thing, it seems to be a trophy opportunity for mother's to put up photos breast feeding their babies. I have no problems seeing mothers feed their babies but on social media please don't show me your breast ,feeding your baby. Keep it private. My mother breast fed me 'till I was seven but there is not one photo to see of it. Don't turn your child into a trophy on your breast. If you want people to see your breast just post a picture of it , don't turn your baby into an accessory. Thank you.

Here are my sneaker recommendations. They are ideal for a Spring walk. Hope you like them!

Summer Essentials for a Music Festival!

Happy Monday!

Music festival season is almost near. Everyone between 18 to 35 wants to be at one. Even if you're older than 35, maybe camping out at the festival is not your thing. But a nice hotel close by is almost certainly what we would all love to do a couple of times in our lifetime. So if you are getting ready for a music festival, I have put together a list of a couple of must haves you shouldn't forget to pack in your suitcase! We all want to be dressed in the style befitting, to suitable festival attire!

1. A denim dress. The 70s / Boho chic style is the one to go for at a festival. A denim dress is a must have. Style it with gladiator sandals. It will look so cool.

2. 70s jeans with wide flares are the appropriate fun / cool comfortable choice.

3. Team it with a nice brown Western bag with plenty of tassels!

4. Don't forget the comfortable, fashionable jumpsuit.

5. Always pack a light weight jacket, the evenings can be cold and rainy. Make sure the jacket has a hood and is in a nice bright color .

6. Shorts. Some nice printed ones with a plain t-shirt. Denim high-waisted ones are also cute and keeping with the 70s theme .

7. The classic wellies have to be included to combat slush, mud, and keeping your feet clean.

8. Trainers for nice dry days or a cool pair of sandals. If you're like me and trainers are not your thing!

9. A cool pair of shades or "sunnies" in a 70s style Jackie O.  Ray Bans, white ones are all very hip.

10 Last but not least don't forget some jewelry. Some big bold silver earrings,  armbands, necklaces all look really trendy. But don't wear it all on together! A flower in your hair or a floral headband is also stunning and would complete your simple yet fashionable style.

If you have all these things in your suitcase you are going to be the queen of the music festival. Don't forget a nice smile and attitude as well goes a long way and gets you safely back home!

Hope this helps. Have an awesome day and keep smiling.

Love & Peace.

Fun Day & A Beautiful Spring Outfit!

Happy Saturday!

When it's the weekend and you know you have a fun agenda planned, life is the best. Just hoping to wake up avoid every mirror and then you just happen to catch your reflection in the microwave and your hair is standing weird and you know it's been a crazy night! If somebody at the bar says, ''I drink only two or three times a week,'' you know it's a damn lie. I've never known that to be true , honestly, A glass of wine every day is healthy and beer is known to have its health benefits. As with food, alcohol is best kept to minimal amounts everyday. I'd recommend no more than two or three glasses. Not American sized glasses, but your average British glass!
More importantly if your returning back with the bus and you happen to see a Matthew Mcconaughey look-a-like and your first thought is of Matthew playing the bongos naked (you know when he got arrested a few years ago!) You know you need to get to bed and avoid eye contact with Mr. Mcconaughey, lol.

Here is a nice Spring outfit to take you on a fun day out.

1. floral dress / 20 euros / zaful.com
2. long sleeve sweater coat / 28 euros / victoriaswing.com
3. tall boots / 50 dollars / ninewest.com
4. flower necklace / 20 pounds / dorothyperkins.com
5. satin bag / 46 dollars / guess.com

Friday's Thoughts - People Struggle!

Happy Friday!

Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening / Night, wherever you are in your day, I hope you are smiling! Today I wanted to write why we should feel blessed with our lives. No, our lives are not perfect but we each have some kind of burden to carry and we should accept it and continue. Our lives are all individual but we are never given more than we can manage . It shows our personal strength. I wanted to write this because I have a friend who just had surgery on her back and she has been in a lot of pain, and was asking why? Because that's her personal battle she has to go through. She is blessed to still have her mother living. I miss my mother terribly and that's my battle to continue on my own without that loving unconditional support you could only get from your Mum. We have to graciously accept our life plan and make do with what we are given. Remember it is nothing we can't handle. I believe before we are born God shows us our life map and we agree to it , before we  come down to Earth. That is why I am very against suicides , this is because we are taking our lives when we are supposed to live it. Suicide is never an option. Somebody loves you, somebody will miss you  and most of all it is not the way out. It just makes us return back to Earth with a much harder life and you know what, all those feelings of not wanting to live and die quickly,  are still there, just more intense. So break that cycle and live your life, no matter how hard so that our future lives can be blessed with goodness with no thought of ending it prematurely. Life is not easy. So be kind to others, love each other and never judge someone according to your standards. We don't know someone else's situation. Always be the kind of person, you would want someone to be for you! Happy 91st birthday Your Majesty , you are the inspiration we need to aspire too . You always showed courage and determination.Congratulations we love you 💗

Have an awesome day and keep smiling.

Love & Peace.

An Easy Breakfast Recipe With Egg!

Happy Wednesday,

Mid week and there was racing on telly. What's happening, what was the excuse to pleasure us all and perhaps even give people the excuse to call in sick! All that excitement but it was definitely a bookies day. Almost all the favorites put on a poor show and were beat. My predictions all managed a measly 2nd and any doubles that I put in hit one and lost the other! Soupy Soups put on a good show and won. Frankle's colt, Seventh Heaven, didn't show off his pedigree, he only managed a third. Not William Buick's day, he only managed 2nd placings in both races he was expected to win. Frankie Detorri shone as usual on televised racing days. He loves his flying dismounts to charm us. Next time I'm sticking with Frankie on TV days, ''big smile'' he brings in the dough.
The news that an election has been called must have reached everyone by now. Best thing Theresa May could have done! She doesn't stand a chance of winning. The Tories are running scared, she says no television debates. What is she scared off? Can't compete with the likes of Jeremy Corbyn, Nicola Sturgeon. May is too old and can't remember much , standing under TV lights. She is going to be lost , forget everything, and look really bad. We need Labour. We need our NHS funded, schools to be given priority, our social services which have faced austerity from the Tories. The poor and disabled, more than 70% of the population is badly off & stuck in poverty, which is a big shame for a supposedly rich country. My goal in giving horse racing tips, is for the people of the country to have a chance to win make some money ,and do better. Give themselves & their family treats and days out. If I can do one good thing for somebody less fortunate, I can truly say I'm making the world better and richer.

For this blog, I would like to share with you an easy egg recipe. A hearty breakfast will fill you up and get you ready for the day ahead.

Ingredients:
100g bag spinach
400g can chopped tomatoes
1 tsp chilli flakes
4 eggs

Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Put the spinach into a colander, then pour over a kettle of boiling water to wilt the leaves. Squeeze out excess water and divide between 4 small ovenproof dishes.
2. Mix the tomatoes with the chilli flakes and some seasoning, then add to the dishes with the spinach. Make a small well in the centre of each and crack in an egg. Bake for 12-15 mins or more depending on how you like your eggs. Serve with crusty bread, if you like.

Have an awesome day and keep smiling.

Love & Peace.

Be Confident In This Spring Outfit!

Happy Tuesday!

It's been a couple of days since I last posted, but with the Easter holidays there has been a lot of celebrations. So I took a few days off. Since I last wrote, a lot of things have been happening in the news which I'm sure you all are well aware off. The most newsworthy which has continuously been talked about is Prince Harry revealing he sought counselling for a mental health issue. As a child of 12, losing his mother was a terrible blow to him. We all in the country knew he must have been suffering terribly. After all, sons do look up to their mother's and idolize them. Mental health issues are a very talked about subject. What I find really bad is people don't actually do something about it. The mental health services in the country are at an appalling low. When a person has an issue and needs help often it's not available immediately. Often you have to wait weeks for an appointment , and at most times, it's judged as not a debilitating issue. People with depression which also can be caused by grief as in Harry's case, it can lead to a number of issues. Feeling worthless, angry, anxiety, no self confidence, and suicide tendencies. Since services and cuts have been made to these social services, people need to be there for each other. Please be a ear for your friend, neighbor, and don't judge someone. We all have our baggage in different forms. We are just too scared to share them with anyone. I think Harry needs to get behind the government,  to make more money available for support to vulnerable people. With society as it is today, depression is a much bigger issue than it ever was before. be the friend, you would want for yourself. Be kind, supportive, and non-judgmental. Also, don't be surprised you would meet wonderful people completely out of your normal circle. Always think peace and love in whatever you do. You will find the universe rewarding you with bucket loads of sunshine and rainbows.

Enjoy your day and keep smiling. I hope you like my outfit recommendation. This one is for a mild Spring day, to attract good vibes in all you do.

Welcome Spring With the Pencil Skirt!

Happy Friday!

The pencil skirt is a classic feminine piece that is elegant and fashionable. It is the most understated apparel in women's fashion, but it has been around since the 1950's and suits all body types.
The perfect piece of clothing and one that every woman should own, for a touch of sophistication and glamour! Pencil skirts can be worn for every occasion. From casual, formal, to the red carpet.
The timeless pencil skirt does not have to mean plain. There are so many modern twists to the skirt. They are now being designed as structured, slitted, and even patterned. They can be worn sometimes above the knee, but the most suitable and sexy is below the knee. There are so many celebrities who are big fans of this fashion garment. Number one being Kim Kardashian. Others include Miranda Kerr, Kerry Washington, and our own fashion icon and designer Victoria Beckham, who absolutely loves pencil skirts.

If you are wearing your pencil skirt for a formal occasion, like the office, business meetings, you would want a more conservative approach. Pick out a high waisted style, in shades of browns, black, blues and grey. For casual wear, a lunch with friends, cocktails, afternoon movies, shopping days, think bright colors and patterns. Plaid and denim at the moment are very fashionable, so play on that trend. For nights out think leopard print, lace, faux leather and sequins. Always keep it below the knee so you still remain classy. Pair it with a spaghetti strap top, bustier, crop top, or a mesh blouse.

If you love the four designs I have chosen out, I have listed the online shops where they are available. Hope you like them and love pencil skirts as much as I do!

1. Womens elastic waist band scuba pencil skirt / 14 pounds / Amazon.com
2. Charme crochet lace pencil skirt / 38 dollars / Chicwish.com
3. Quiz Black Lace Midi Skirt / 9.99 pounds / Houseoffraser.co.uk
4. Check Skirt / 28 pounds / Oasis-Stores.com

Have a Crush? Some Advice & An Outfit Recommendation!

Happy Wednesday!

Fair to say the weather has been poor these past few days. With little chance of it getting better, rain more rain, and temperatures around 10 degrees. I don't mind too much. I've always loved the rain. Today I was thinking of writing a blog about 'crushes.' Everybody gets a crush at some point in their life. Most important would be to know if your crush is into you as well. Well, most girls ponder that. A few little pointers. If he makes eye contact with you, laughs at your jokes, and if you have the same shared interests you stand a very good chance your crush is into you as well. Quite often, crushes also come about from the internet, social media, which then makes it a bit harder. But if you still haven't met after six months to a year, I would say it's pretty much one sided and your crush is not that into you to make an effort to meet up. Saying that, don't give up because if it was meant to be it will happen and sometimes good things take longer to happen.
Here is an outfit recommendation for somebody thinking about going on a date. Don't go too daring and at the same time keep it feminine and fun. Keep your crush interested in you by being supportive, loving, and friendly. Don't be too pushy and don't keep messaging a lot. Nothing like getting very annoying and you have scuppered your chances. Always be interesting and funny if you can. Most of all, give out compliments. Everybody loves their ego stroked. Whatever you do keep it real. Don't pretend you are something other than what you are to your crush.

Authentic Indian Fish Curry!

Happy Monday!

We all try to eat healthy as often as possible. I believe maintaining a balance and monitoring what you eat is the key to feeling good. Monitoring your portion size and to not over-indulge. Sometimes it's okay to have some butter or a piece of chocolate. That heavy food is no good, ''I want to eat healthy light food with no butter'' etc, etc. Just to remind everyone, some butter and fat in your food is good for you and your brain. You need fat for your brain to be healthy and active! It's the trans fat, junk food so often which replaces a good home cooked meal which is bad for you! Snacks between meals, you know what I'm talking about. The packets of crisps, the cookies, candies, chocolates, and any amount of junk you shovel down your mouth.
So to get back to a great, healthy meal choice for me and my kids is a fish curry with rice! Yum. Definitely a recipe to try. I'm sharing the one I use every week with you all!

Ingredients:
400 grms boneless pieces of fish
1 and a half cup of coriander leaves chopped up
2/3 tomatoes
1 onion , chopped up
8 cloves of garlic
5 green chilies
2 teaspoons of methi seeds ( fenugreek )
2 teaspoons of coriander powder
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
Salt
100 grms of oil

Instructions:
1. Marinate the fish in salt and turmeric powder for 15 mins or a little bit more
2. Shallow fry the fish and keep it aside, blend the coriander leaves garlic and chilies together
3. Heat the oil, fry your onions, then put in your paste and fry for a couple of minutes till the oil separates.
4. Add the tomatoes , methi seeds and the powdered masalas and fry for about 5/6 minutes. Add 2 cups of water and let the gravy bubble away till it comes to a boil. Then add the fish pieces and let it simmer for about 7 minutes.
8. Serve the curry hot, it's ready to eat. You could add a squeeze of lemon for extra zest!

Happy cooking! Have an awesome day and keep smiling.

Love & Peace.

A Victory For Scotland & One For Arthur!

Happy Saturday!

The event of the year was today, The Grand National at Aintree, Liverpool. All 40 horses and jockeys finished safely and that beats any winning slip! Can't say I picked out the winner like I did in the 3 previous years. The horse was a surprise for me, ''One For Arthur,'' named after Arthur Guinness,  Ireland's most famous brewer,  proved to be a worthy winner finishing ahead of the horse I was so sure would have it by a length at least. Blaklion, my choice, finished 4th even though the betting shops paid out for 6 places I had it for the win. Slim chances on winning too much at 14/1 odds. But saying that I still had a decent smile on my face when Gas Line Boy, at 50/1, trained by Ian Williams, came 5th. So my E/W bet on it, gave me a tidy little something!
The winner was ridden by Derek Fox. A young jockey making quite a name for himself. On March 9th, he broke his wrist and collarbone in a fall but recovered to win hardly a month later today. A tough young man with a great future ahead of him. Jockey's are made of something else. Fire & endurance, hence I admire them so much.
It was a brilliant day. A win for Scotland after a great many years , 38 years to be precise and only the second time ever ! Congratulations Lucinda Russel, trainer of One For Arthur. She and her partner Peter Scudamore a champion jockey himself , have much to celebrate . A good and worthy win! The sun shone, it was a warm day. 70,000 people arrived at Aintree , no train strike managed to keep them away , to see the Grand National. The fashion was no let down. The drinks flowed and safe to say everyone had a good time!

Hope you too had an awesome day too. Keep smiling.

Love & Peace.

Dessert.. Rice Pudding With Pears!

Happy Thursday!

I love a tasty rice pudding, and with honey roasted pears it's super delicious. A change to the ordinary rice pudding, which could be boring for the palate! Thought I would share with you all. This scrumptious recipe to warm up your taste buds on your birthday. Desserts are more delicious on your birthday, lol.. I don't know if that's only me :)

Ingredients:
600 ml whole milk
4 pears
30gms butter
175 gms risotto rice
A good splash of cognac , white rum or white wine
4 tbsps of runny honey
1/2 a  vanilla pod
A pinch of cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 200 C or Gas 6. Scrape the vanilla seeds from the pod, then place the seeds pod and milk into a pan. Let it simmer over a low heat until the milk is warm. Turn of the heat and leave it to infuse. Meanwhile roast the pears in the oven for about 20 minutes till they are tender. While the pears are roasting, melt butter in a pan add the rice and toast shaking occasionally. Add the splash of alcohol now and let the rice absorb it. Start ladling in the vanilla milk stirring frequently until most of it is absorbed by the rice. The rice should be creamy with a bit of a bite and it would take around 25 minutes to be perfect. Swirl in 2/ 3 tbsps of honey at the end of cooking and the pinch of cinnamon. Add more honey if necessary.
Divide the pudding between 4 bowls, peel the roasted pears and pop them on  top.  Finish with a drizzle of  honey and cinnamon. It's ready to serve and eat. Enjoy!

Bon Appetite. Have an awesome day and keep smiling.

Love & Peace.

Tuesday's Outfit Recommendation!

Happy Tuesday!

The sun shone bright and it was not the deceptive sunshine which still requires your winter jacket! That was a plus, it was also the first day of the year where I didn't need to wear my socks around the house. Hurrah, it's officially Springtime! Schools in the US will be breaking up in a week's time , when the young boys and girls go wild , just as new life is being born on farms, lambs and calfs, the flowers in the fields coming out to bloom right now. Nature, people, and animals carrying on like everything is right with the world! Except the daily news tells us a whole different story!
Chemical attack, weapons being sold to countries and calling it trade deals! Shocking! It does nothing for peace. It just promotes warfare and violence. I wish that weapons were not manufactured anymore and homelessness didn't exist , hunger & poverty never heard off . People loved each other and the color of someone's skin didn't matter! Probably I'll never live to see that achieved. On to other news David Moyes is in hot water for suggesting he would slap a female reporter. It actually shocked me. Violence is never the answer and a slap given to a male or female should be treated as a misconduct and he should be fired! I happened to read people actually thinking it was fine and okay and he was treating the woman the same way he'd treat a man and equal rights and all that bullshit. It's a laugh. Violence is a last resort to a mental breakdown. In other words, if you are completely losing the plot and can't handle it yes, a slap , but then the person should be put away for a month to come to terms with that reaction. There is always an under-lying issue, perhaps stress, emotional baggage, or inadequacy. The person needs love and therapy. Not something called anger management . This enrages the person even more and become more aggressive and dangerous.

I want to share this look with you. Because it's Springtime and the temperature is rising to decent, milder days, I thought you'd like this outfit. A fresh, modern take on an everyday look. Wear it like it's going to be the best day ever !

Sunday Wisdom & Inspiration

Happy Sunday, Happy April!

April showers bring May flowers. Although April for me is the shining star month of the year. It just happens to be my birthday month, the Grand National which is my favorite horse racing event on the calendar, happens to fall always around my birthday! So that's the pinnacle of all good things. Easter also brings a positive festive event to make our faith in God strong! Nothing better than chocolate Easter eggs and God's promise of an eternal life! Our souls don't die away or get lost. We return each time to consolidate our reasons for living , to make amends, to justify our wrongs and to help others find their way, in a world full of potential pitfalls, hard realities, and tough choices. No, our whole existence in living was not meant to be easy every day, your little happy cloud. We have to be made of sterner stuff, not very hard if you turn the other cheek or look the other way. No, I was not made to give in so easily. Sometimes people need a few home truths about themselves. So I give out, but of course people look ,then to hurt you back. If the hardest thing I was called today was a witch, it didn't matter because I was named after a witch. 'Sabrina the Witch' if anyone has ever read those comics , will know how awesome Sabrina was . I love being a witch. It's a compliment. Not only am I spiritual, but magic fascinates me as well. Yes, I have many witching qualities. I can bewitch you, I am charming and fascinating to boot, and if you meet me , you will never forget me ! I am attractive and very confident. I never look out for support from anyone and am quite used to fighting my own battles. But did my eyes tear up when out of the blue somebody tells me you did the right thing by blocking two ridiculous people! Yes, God bless that person. It was unexpected to have someone re-assure me I did the right thing , I make my own decisions and I've never had someone endorse it ! Yes, no matter how tough we are , we need a little support from someone, anyone in our lives to say you did the right thing. The purpose of this blog is to bring the message across to everyone, show a little kindness and be supportive to each other. Don't bring other people down and start negativity. If Godolphin harmed her she should tweet about it on her own wall and not on other people's feed about someone who wronged her. I seldom tag anyone into my views. If I have six follows and nine unfollows a day, it's fine. I'm political but I keep  my views on my feed alone! Okay, that's Sunday's wisdom. Love everybody. But if you need to dish out, do it. We are human beings, not god. We are allowed to be ourselves. God loves us all and the saying comes to mind, ''Ask and you shall be forgiven.'' God is not judging you. Heaven has a host of people you will be surprised to encounter!

Have an awesome day and keep smiling.

P.S. Happy Birthday Frieda for the 1st of April. God Bless you always.

Love & Peace.
