Welcome Spring With the Pencil Skirt!

Happy Friday!

The pencil skirt is a classic feminine piece that is elegant and fashionable. It is the most understated apparel in women's fashion, but it has been around since the 1950's and suits all body types.
The perfect piece of clothing and one that every woman should own, for a touch of sophistication and glamour! Pencil skirts can be worn for every occasion. From casual, formal, to the red carpet.
The timeless pencil skirt does not have to mean plain. There are so many modern twists to the skirt. They are now being designed as structured, slitted, and even patterned. They can be worn sometimes above the knee, but the most suitable and sexy is below the knee. There are so many celebrities who are big fans of this fashion garment. Number one being Kim Kardashian. Others include Miranda Kerr, Kerry Washington, and our own fashion icon and designer Victoria Beckham, who absolutely loves pencil skirts.

If you are wearing your pencil skirt for a formal occasion, like the office, business meetings, you would want a more conservative approach. Pick out a high waisted style, in shades of browns, black, blues and grey. For casual wear, a lunch with friends, cocktails, afternoon movies, shopping days, think bright colors and patterns. Plaid and denim at the moment are very fashionable, so play on that trend. For nights out think leopard print, lace, faux leather and sequins. Always keep it below the knee so you still remain classy. Pair it with a spaghetti strap top, bustier, crop top, or a mesh blouse.
