Thoughts on the Oscars & an Outfit Recommendation!

Happy Monday,

Last night was The Oscars and a little over half of the population of the earth tuned in to watch. Whether it was to watch the red carpet on E! or to see the main show, everybody loves Oscar tradition. I stayed up all night , so as not to miss a single slice of all the drama, theatrics, or the hosts sour jokes! Jimmy Kimmel was a bore. He had a few good jokes thrown in but basically , encouraging people to think it's okay to troll the President of the US. It's pretty low and deplorable. His ''R u up?'' to Trump made me reach for my Twitter to give a sweet reply ''He's up, after you finish your stint, he's waiting for you to serve him his breakfast.'' I couldn't resist , lol .The whole Oscars was a fiasco. It makes me wonder if that bus load of tourists was staged. Trolling , Overrated Meryl , and the last stunt with the mixed envelopes has definitely tarnished Oscars image in my eyes. Clearly Warren Beatty was uncomfortable pulling this stunt, guilt was all over his face and eventually he pushed the envelope to Dunaway to pull the trigger. I was not at all impressed. The only good thing was that La La Land did not win best picture, in my opinion Manchester By The Sea deserved it but Moonlight was good nevertheless. LaLa Land to Frivolous in my opinion, especially in these times !
So with Oscars on my mind, I decided an outfit recommendation was the best. Here's my sweet choice for you all. Hope you like it.

Get the Perfect Brow!

Hollywood elite have the perfect brows. The arches. Think Penelope Cruz, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Kim Kardashian. But who do you think gets the most requested brows at salons? It's definitely the Kardashian brows. Girls are always trying to achieve the look. It's not pencil thin of the 60's but more fuller brows to frame and dark enough to make your face pop! But her look does not flatter everyone. To bring harmony to flatter your unique bone structure choosing the right width shape and color is key. Below are some tips.

Through Thick and Thin
If you have a tiny face with delicate features thick eyebrows can be overwhelming. People with a low brow bone should also avoid going to full. You want to open your eyes - if the space between the brows and the upper lashes is small, make the eyebrow a bit thinner and more arched. On the other hand if you have a higher set brow bone, thick eyebrows are the more flattering option.
If you divide the face into thirds, the spaces between the hairline and the brows, brows and nose base, and nose base to the chin should be equal in length. Wider arches are good for fuller faces whose expansiveness can be magnified by thin brows.
If your face shape requires thicker brows, over tweezing has left your upper lids nearly barren, encourage hair growth with an over the counter conditioner like a brow enhancing serum. A very important tip when tweezing is, never tweeze above the brow, always below to maintain a good shape.

Filling In The Blanks
With the help of a pencil or dark powder (brown eyeshadow), you can fill in spaces and create the appearance of lusher brows. To finish a clear brow gel can be used to keep pencil and hair colors in place.

Color Theory for  the brows 
The arches are best when they are one or two shades darker then the color of your hair. Rather than permanently dyeing your eyebrows, use a tinted brow gel to lighten and darken accordingly.
I have got some great natural looking eyebrows, which I just keep in shape with gentle tweezing. I have never plucked them thin , which suits my fuller face.

Five Great Veggie Restaurants in London!

Today was a beautiful day and it's not the weather I'm talking about. It just had a special feel about it If my heart sang it was a sweet song.
Today I want to blog about five of the best vegetarian restaurants in London. I know there are loads but these five particular ones I love. I shall over the coming weeks list a few more that I practically love!

Tibits. This restaurant on Heddon Street W1B is a favorite of both vegetarians and the carnivorous variety. Because their delicious cuisine caters to both. Their dishes are inspired by the Mediterranean and Asian, produced only with GM free ingredients. The menu changes daily and is situated in Soho, so it's in the heart of the hub-bub!

The Good Life Eatery is fairly new on the scene in London and boasts its own free standing cold pressed juice bar (the first of its kind in the capital). It offers everything from super food salads to chia-seed puddings. It's on a first come first served basis and is located on 59 Sloane Avenue, SW3.

Vanilla Black is big news in Veggie London. The food is particularly delicious and once you have tried the cuisine, it wins over the most enthusiastic steak connoisseur and its incredibly good value too. Definitely worth a try. Located at 17-18 Tooks Court EC4A.

Mildreds is a very well known veggie restaurant. This SoHo institution is a very popular spot for lunch with all the staff at fashion magazines. The cuisine will take you on a culinary journey around the world from Tagines to burritos. halloumi  burgers and mac & cheese. It's situated in 45 Lexington Street W1F.

The Gate has been dedicating its vegetarian gastronomy for the last 20 years, to its clients. It's a top tip for romance with its candlelit cosy dining room and has a celebrity following. Their global menu delight in terms of texture and taste but can be on the pricey side. It's located at 370 St. John Street EC1V.

If you are ever in the London area, it's worth saving to go for a nice treat!

Being AP .. What An Inspiration :)

Happy Monday ,
If yesterday you sat back and enjoyed watching Being AP on BBC 2 you were among the thousands of people in the Nation that tuned in ! It was the most inspiring documentary that I have ever seen. He had grit , determination and the perseverance to WIN.
All through his many injuries , he stayed tough and he sometimes couldn't breathe well , but he still rode winners ! I loved seeing every minute of the documentary, I thought his house with five ovens , the Wardrobe room which looked like a store to me ( it will rival VB 's Dover Street store and come out looking better 😉 ) was spectacular. Yet while he was doing better than ever, I felt he was pressured by his wife to retire . It was not what he wanted , he looked so sad through it , that it broke my heart! Why did his wife want this ? If you love someone and marry the person, you support them , even if you don't like it . Some say he had a family so that was the reason . But there are loads of people doing jobs they hate because they have a family. He loved his job , was able to give his family luxury because of his occupation! People in other professions also risk their neck doing jobs , so that's a lame excuse, if she makes it , the military is one of the riskiest jobs and women support their men . Some even miss the births of their children doing a job they love ! If it's injuries she was worried about, they were his , not hers and if he could live with them, so should she .He needed love and she should hold his hand through it ! I wonder if they are well matched ?
I wonder when he's an old man ( he's young still 1974 ??) if he will have regrets , and think I could have done two or three more years ? I think he very well could have . I have great respect and think he's awesome but I wish he followed his heart and not somebody else's.
The moral of this blog is , go after what you want , if you try hard enough, everything is achievable. And most of all do what your gut tells you . Our inner spirit guides us best in life , he would have known when he was ready to quit ! It saddens me he Quit, and That Man is not a quitter !

Delicious Mediterranean Salad!

Is it still just Thursday? Would have expected it to be at least Sunday again! Thursday is always a great day for me. I have Question Time to look forward to at the end of the evening. Yes, I am very political but my main aim is always peace & love in any political argument. Like how the hell is everyone in the UK against Trump when they themselves want the same thing with Brexit? Double standards. If Trump wants a better relationship with Putin, how is that a bad thing? By antagonizing him and picking quarrels you would be asking for unrest and war. Peace and love should always be on our mind! Putin is no villian if there is an evil person lurking isn't North Korea doing enough to show how willful and anti-social they are?
But onto other things, according to research Vitamin D is a good thing. I have always agreed with that and my children have them all autumn and winter. To stop colds and flu a teaspoonful of honey daily is what I live by. I thoroughly recommend it.
Ireland Baldwin is lusting after Tom Hardy even though she has a boyfriend, she wants a threesome with Tom Hardy. Didn't they just show an episode of something (I forget the name) similar on tv, where they would list their crush they would love to get in a hot tub with. Emma Bunton was a guest star on it. It's healthy to fantasize it's what makes every person human. A crush is a crush and wanting a relationship with someone is two different things. But then maybe I need to get my life sorted out!

Hope you enjoy this healthy bowl of a Mediterranean salad. Have it with some boiled eggs and some delicious rolls.

Ingredients
3 cucumbers, seeded and sliced
1 1/2 cups crumbled feta cheese
1 cup black olives, pitted and sliced
3 cups diced roma tomatoes
1/3 cup diced oil packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained, oil reserved
1/2 red onion, sliced

Instructions
1. In a large salad bowl, toss together the cucumbers, feta cheese, olives, roma tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, 2 tablespoons reserved sun-dried tomato oil, and red onion. Chill until serving.

I indulged in some delicious red velvet cake, bought myself some perfume ''Noa'' because giving yourself is better than not receiving anything on this hyped up day on the calendar. Bishop Valentine went against his wishes and secretly married couples. Valentine was tried and found guilty before his execution. He sent a note to his jailors daughter and signed it from your Valentine. So charming! People now send messages and cards to each other and Valentine's Day came about. Today whether you received wishes or not, someone will always be thinking sweetly of you. It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day to profess love.

A Very Berry Healthy Smoothie!

Today brings the BAFTA'S & The Grammy's for our viewing pleasure! Was it just five years ago that Whitney Houston died before the Grammy Awards show? I want to dedicate my blog to everyone who has woken up today and in all the previous years ,who have lost a loved one to suicide! It brings tremendous turmoil to the family and definitely not calm and peace to the person who took their own life! Yes the body dies but the soul lives on and can regret hasty decisions. Please show love, compassion, and understanding to anyone going through a hard time. Depression does not show itself like a big ugly cloud. People hide their feelings but suffer in silence. Spare a thought for everyone out there going through a struggle. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Don't do things on impulse.

Healthy drinks! They are good for you. It can lower the risk of heart disease, it can improve your mood, and also give you a good portion of your five-a-day. Hope you enjoy my favorite drink, a berry smoothie! Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
• 1 ripe banana
• 140g of blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries
• Apple juice or mineral water
• Honey, to serve

Instructions:
1. Slice the banana into your blender or food processor and add the berries of your choice. Whizz until smooth. With the blades whirring, pour in juice or water to make the consistency you like. Toss a few extra fruits on top (suggestion), drizzle with honey and serve.

If there's anything exciting, it's definitely the weekend looming that makes things extra special. Like get yourself some amazing sneakers. Show off your slender, fit limbs and go for a long jog. No there is no sunny beaches but nothing breaks the monotony off the beautiful Yorkshire Dales which I love! To put the jewel in the crown a trip to the movies after a couple of weeks of boring stuff is going to be my highlight. If you guessed which movie I might be taking in ''no prizes''. It's after all the most anticipated sex-sizzling movie to hit the screens. Yes, Fifty Shades Darker. And even Jamie Dornan oozes sex on screen . Although today seated next to Keanu Reeves on the sofa of The Graham Norton Show. I wondered if he is actually attractive? Don't get me wrong, I have a thing for Irish men they are incredibly sexy I just need to find myself one!
With this second part after Ana runs off in the first, Grey wants her back and promises that he's happy with her vanilla, instead of tutti frutti, so she agrees to give it a go. The dialogue is funny and the sex scenes are a good,  bit sleazier than part one! If you're the blushing sort, save it for date nine or just go with your girlfriends. But leave Mum at home!
As I sip a nice glass of rose, I shall leave my dreams of Christian Grey, Irish men, jockeys, trainers , everything I love for bed time!

Gorgeous Sweaters!

Happy Monday,

Yesterday was Superbowl Sunday and I hope you all had enormous fun with parties, family time ,and of course the hugely exciting game. I went to bed after half time seriously thinking the Atlanta Falcons were going to run away with it but of course Tom Brady and The Patriots fought back and I was so pleased to wake up to The Patriots winning! Shame I didn't put a bet on that! Lady Gaga didn't disappoint. The half time show was full of glitz and glamour and Gaga provided us with all her popular hits. I loved the bit of one nation under one God. But if she was trying to make a statement, I fully expected her to use the alternative name for God in other religions seeing as the Democrats are so opposing the President! but no, she loves to be correct and superb it was too. We all need to take steps in our lives and work towards goals and no matter how small the first step is huge for our personal self. F.E.A.R has two meanings: Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise.

The Tricky Circle.

The art of listening, forced ! Wanes and tingles creep up the spine, tremors!
Subtle references, hollow voices, echoes loud.
Piercing shouts, screams, madness. Run away from it all, lost in blissful dreams.
Wishing awareness, suddenly could drown out the dripping tap. The water so loud in the stillness.
My beating heart still beats but rises, the rush, the tempo
Fulfill those dreams. You have a mission, don't let circumstance stop the motion of the train.
Those raised voices of life, drown out the rivers ever washing away my will to seek the future.
With two hands and change, the destiny of past.
Stars overhead make those wishes all mine. Fall so fast upon the head and brighten the horizon I look into.
I missed the whole decade gone by, losses, love, country, home, possessions but left is clothes utensils and three great smiles.
It's all I need to walk forward. Flowers bloom, the lotus my lifted heart.
The nightingale has left its cage.

Thursday's Outfit Recommendation!

Happy Groundhog day!

And no, when he came out of his hole he was not detained by border patrol lol! This historic festival celebrated in the U.S. lets us know how long we have left for Spring to come. The legend goes if it's cloudy and dull Spring will be quick to come and if it's sunny, it's six long, cold weeks! So wherever you are, hope it was cloudy and dull.
Prince Harry was visiting the ambulance & fire service on behalf of the mental health charity and he spoke about how important it is to talk about how you're feeling and discuss it. A therapist suggested walking in a park among nature where it would be easier to open up. It was therapeutic. In all fairness, talking is a great help but not many people really want to hear anything or don't know how to react or behave and feel different towards you. People should learn to listen and most important is to be sympathetic. When you are feeling down and depressed, those people need a shoulder to lean on and a friendly ear. Always listen because people who are depressed, unhappy, anxious, they always want to talk and express their inner fears. It's the other people who need to be educated in how to reciprocate!
