A Very Berry Healthy Smoothie!

Happy Sunday!

Today brings the BAFTA'S & The Grammy's for our viewing pleasure! Was it just five years ago that Whitney Houston died before the Grammy Awards show? I want to dedicate my blog to everyone who has woken up today and in all the previous years ,who have lost a loved one to suicide! It brings tremendous turmoil to the family and definitely not calm and peace to the person who took their own life! Yes the body dies but the soul lives on and can regret hasty decisions. Please show love, compassion, and understanding to anyone going through a hard time. Depression does not show itself like a big ugly cloud. People hide their feelings but suffer in silence. Spare a thought for everyone out there going through a struggle. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Don't do things on impulse.

Healthy drinks! They are good for you. It can lower the risk of heart disease, it can improve your mood, and also give you a good portion of your five-a-day. Hope you enjoy my favorite drink, a berry smoothie! Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
• 1 ripe banana
• 140g of blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries
• Apple juice or mineral water
• Honey, to serve

Instructions:
1. Slice the banana into your blender or food processor and add the berries of your choice. Whizz until smooth. With the blades whirring, pour in juice or water to make the consistency you like. Toss a few extra fruits on top (suggestion), drizzle with honey and serve.
