I hope your day was more exciting than mine. I indulged in some delicious red velvet cake, bought myself some perfume ''Noa'' because giving yourself is better than not receiving anything on this hyped up day on the calendar. If you didn't know the origins of Valentine's day I'd love to share the story behind it. During the times of the Romans, Emperor Claudius didn't want couples marrying during the war. Bishop Valentine went against his wishes and secretly married couples. Valentine was tried and found guilty before his execution. He sent a note to his jailors daughter and signed it from your Valentine. So charming! People now send messages and cards to each other and Valentine's Day came about. Today whether you received wishes or not, someone will always be thinking sweetly of you. It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day to profess love.
