Party Outfit For New Year's Eve !!

Happy 30th of December !

The year is almost coming to a close New Year's Eve tomorrow :) I just love the day !!! I reflect on the year that was and look forward to a new beginning on January 1st. I always celebrate it , a party fireworks , drinks and lots of snacks & treats to welcome the New Year .

Here I have an outfit recommendation  for the 31st .. okay so it's not a party dress but I know alot of women also prefer a pair of stylish trousers  . This outfit is cool and chic not to mention comfortable .  I particularly love the the astronomy on the bag ! I often watch Jules Holland where he regularly had Jonathan Cainer as a guest , to speak about the stars in the New Year and what we had to look forward too . As a big astrology buff , I miss Jonathan alot but his nephew is keeping up the astrology forecasts and it's a very good effort he's putting in , Jonathan would be proud I'm sure !

So today we had the Queen's honours List to dazzle us all . As much as there are alot of worthy candidates on the list , I couldn't for the life of me imagine how some bagged the prize ! How in heaven's name is Nick Clegg becoming SIR Nick ??? I fail to get it !! We have enough titled people he does not deserve to be one of them .. Totally ludicrous !!! Dame Darcy Bussell ??? Yes another waste !! A good ballet dancer but not exactly World renowned , some of my friends in other parts of the world have no idea who she is !! I would much rather see the Queen give Princess Diana back her HRH title post posthumously .

Prince Harry's little jibe at Meghan's family was rather uncalled for  ( the Royals are the family she never had !!! ) Well we all have families no matter how broken and Harry should not forget The Royals were not exactly all warm towards his mother , Diana spent Christmas's alone , his father flaunts the woman that caused his mother so much pain !  Meghan's family ( divorced Mum & Dad is much like his own ! )  Anyways Harry is making the royals into a little Celebrity sideshow instead of keeping high Royal standards ! I do like Meghan , but I don't really know how much is real on his part . Is he going to morph into a telly show soon ... what was with the radio interviewing ? Maybe he needs to retire from a pampered Royal life and start doing other things like become a tv host  . He is on a roller coaster and I fear he's not really sure of his path . I do hope it works out and he gets proper friends and not the likes of Obama !

It is the highlight of my Christmas the sermon, this year was appropriate and well spoken at the Leeds Cathedral  . Christmas is special and even though Christmas is now behind us , I take this opportunity to say I hope the birth of Jesus fills your heart and may you be blessed the coming 12 months .

Warm Winter Jackets , Get Fashionable !

Nine days to Christmas , how exciting is that ?? My Christmas shopping is not all done some of the gifts for the kids have been bought and ordered from the online stores but I love the buzz of rushing around the shops closer to Christmas getting stuff done ! The extreme cold and snow is easing off a bit and I believe it will be milder around Christmas . 

Today was the coming out show of I'm A Celebrity ( the Jungle ) on ITV at 9 pm . If you are a fan you would not have missed it . With all the controversy in the jungle when 3 grown men and a female tough woman ganged up and bullied one of the celebs . The bullies did their best to say they did not bully Iain but as a viewer it made for very uncomfortable viewing all the time in the jungle when they picked on their victim generally made him an outcast when they shared time talking about him . Iain Lee a broadcaster who was very gallant and said  they did not bully him , but a victim feels like he can not say otherwise and bullies will never admit they are bullies . I have yet to see one bully say Yes I am a bully. They come in all ages and they make their victim feel guilty like they are not good enough . What upset me was the few friends that Iain did have inside like Jenny and Shabbi did not speak up and say YES that behaviour is bullying and we feel uncomfortable about your behaviour towards Iain . Bullies are enabled by fellow observers . The Bullies Amir Khan , Jamie Lomas , Dennis Wise &  Rebbecca Vardy should feel ashamed of themselves and when they saw the backlash of their behaviour they should have apologised to Iain about it,  not feel surprised we all are calling them bullies. For one the Vardy lady should not be an ambassador for Mental Health because she felt no sympathy for Iain and said he was playing a game . Depression is very real and she was the number one cause if he felt depressed with the situation in the jungle . With this little bit and my take on the subject I want people to feel more sympathetic towards other people . Dennis made so much about the hunger but there have been many series where the contestants too had little food and no stars were brought back . Dennis Wise is a spoiled selfish man and if he cared so much about the food maybe he should have quit the jungle and eaten 10 hamburgers like the glut  he probably is .

Oh yes , if somebody says you are a bully , you very probably are ! So change your attitude and try to be kinder . Nobody says things without a reason !

Party Dresses for The Festive Season !

It's getting closer to Christmas , and you all must have a list of parties and do's you will be attending , so I decided to put together a couple of my favourite dresses to give you inspiration. 

Office parties for Christmas are in full swing at least 3 of my friends have asked me to help them get the perfect dress . All of my choices below are reasonably priced and look very glamorous . Make sure you choose something suitable for your height and figure . I recommend petite girls go for a short dress to make their legs appear longer or get something alot longer like down to your calfs . Never wear something to your knees . 

Don't try to match everything up No need for a red dress , red shoes , red lippy etc . It's a bit overboard . If your looking for inspiration from a particular celebrity try to find somebody who is more or less your height , body shape etc . The clothes will make you stand out more . Don't dress like Angelina Jolie if you have the bum and boobs of Kim Kardashian .  Always remember you look gorgeous no matter what your wearing if you have a smile and a good attitude . It's the Christmas season so don't forget to compliment your friends and always be thoughtful .

Delicious Christmas Cake ... Easy & Quick !

It's mid week , itś December and what's not to love , the cold is here the icy winds , which I hate . But I love staying indoors as much as I can and keeping warm is my priority . With Christmas so close I know we all love Christmas Cake and what's better than getting baking and having your whole house smell of yummy cake . If anyone is doing any baking tomorrow, or at the weekend and desperately needs a recipe for a good Christmas cake, I want to share with you , a favourite of mine . It's not very complicated but you will have some delicious cakes to serve your guests + family for the holidays.



Here is the recipe for the delicious Christmas cake! (contains alcohol and nuts)

Ingredients:
200g butter, softened to room temperature
200g dark muscovado sugar
200g plain flour
4 egg, beaten
50g ground almond
100ml sherry, sweet or dry, whatever you have in the cupboard
85g candied peel, roughly chopped (we used Sundora)
85g glacé cherry, roughly chopped
250g raisin
250g currant
100g pack pecan nuts, broken into big pieces
finely grated zest 1 lemon
1½ tsp mixed spice
1½ tsp rosewater
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking powder

Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 160C/fan 140C/gas 3. Line the base and sides of a 20 cm round, 7.5 cm deep cake tin. Beat the butter and sugar with an electric hand mixer for 1-2 mins until very creamy and pale in colour, scraping down the sides of the bowl half way through. Stir in a spoonful of the flour, then stir in the beaten egg and the rest of the flour alternately, a quarter at a time, beating well each time with a wooden spoon. Stir in the almonds.
2. Mix in the sherry (the mix will look curdled), then add the peel, cherries, raisins, cherries, nuts, lemon zest, spice, rosewater and vanilla. Beat together to mix, then stir in the baking powder.
3. Spoon mixture into the tin and smooth the top, making a slight dip in the centre. Bake for 30 mins, then lower temperature to 150C/fan 130C/gas 2 and bake a further 2-2¼ hrs, until a skewer insterted in the middle comes out clean. Leave to cool in the tin, then take out of the tin and peel off the lining paper. When completely cold, wrap well in cling film and foil to store until ready to decorate.

An Idea For A Christmas Gift :)

The countdown to Christmas has begun. The Christmas parties, secret Santa's, and all the festivities. I love Christmas. The smell of oranges, yule log, incense, but not just the idea of all the holidays, the food, the drink, the gifts, but for me  it's a sacred holiday. It's the birth of Jesus ,our Savior that we are celebrating. It's a time when we need to remember what it feels like being Catholic. Loving our fellow human beings, loving the planet, no war, no greed for wealth but sharing what we have with each other. If you are thinking of gift ideas, and you want to keep it really cheap, here is my favourite recipe to bottle and give away. It's a onion relish/salsa which you can make at home and gift it to your family and friends. Not only will it be a useful gift, it ill be a tasty one as well! Enjoy!

Onion salsa

Ingredients:
6 ripe tomatoes
1 big bunch of fresh coriander
1 onion
2 fresh green chillies
1 large clove of garlic
1-2 limes
extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
1. Finely chop the tomatoes and coriander (stalks and all) and place into a large bowl.
2. Peel and finely chop the onion, deseed and finely chop the chillies, then scrape into the bowl. Peel and finely grate in the garlic.
3. Squeeze in the juice from 1 lime, add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, and mix well. Season to taste with sea salt, black pepper and more lime juice, if needed.
4. Set aside for a few hours to let all those flavours develop.

A little Christmas tip , wrap some empty boxes set it under the tree , and if your kids don't listen or misbehave throw one away in the garbage :) if you have a fireplace put it in the fire . You will have some extra nice kids in a while .

It was a beautiful day , cold and blustery and everyone was complaining but I did have to laugh when I heard someone say don't complain it's winter it's got to be cold . Well actually it's not yet winter !!! Winter officially starts on the 21 st of December it's just Fall/Autumn .. so well it should not be minus and so damn cold ! Harry Engaged , Shoes Meghan :)

Happy Monday !

Today was a wonderful day , not only did I have an amazing treble in my horse racing tips which paid out richly but I awoke to the wonderful news that Prince Harry was engaged to Meghan Markle !

Congratulations Harry and Meghan for a wonderful life together . I remember hearing the news last year that they were going out and was terribly surprised . If the royals didn't issue that statement not many people actually knew of their relationship . Next I didn't actually know of her as I don't watch Suits but she strikes me as a wonderful , friendly caring outgoing soul . I immediately liked her . But what took me by surprise was the fact that he was going out with a dark haired girl when all his previous girlfriends were blond ! What I do know Harry was finally thinking about settling down and rather than look for ditzy blondes he wanted a good person with amazing qualities that would make him , his late mother and the Royals proud .  His Mother Princess Diana I strongly believe would have loved Meghan to bits and they would have got on extremely well together . As much as Diana would have loved Kate , I think Kate is a little too uptight for Princess Dianaś liking .

Harry has made a good choice as much as people are surprised she is older , divorced etc etc , butthe world is changing so much and small details should not matter in the grand scheme of things . Meghan will be a wonderful wife , mother as well as shine public speaking and drawing support for charities .  I love Meghan's energy , charisma she exudes and  the fact that she shares a birthday as my daughter makes her more remarkable . Well done and  an April wedding is definite after all his father married the wretched Camilla in April ( the 8 th I think ) and William married Catherine in April as well so Harry will get April in too . April is a wonderful month , the sunshine and some nice warm days it can happen ! As I read all the news about the engagement all over , I could not stop myself from reading all the comments under the articles .. what struck me was everyone mentioning Meghan's shoes today were far too big for her , how did she not fall over ,lol ... So this one's for Meghan some pretty shoes and I'm sure all sizes are available , don't wear a size too big lol .

Pumpkin Bread for Thanksgiving !

Happy Tuesday !

It's almost Thanksgiving on Thursday, and pumpkin is the first choice of veg that I think of with Thanksgiving and autumn . So as well as pumpkin pie being on my menu , I love some pumpkin bread  here's a very healthy pumpkin bread recipe. Not only does baking make your house smell divine, but pumpkin bread is healthy for you. It would mean getting a large dose of vegetable in your body and giving yourself a health benefit and it tastes so yummy! Enjoy!

 Ingredients:
 650g butternut pumpkin, peeled, deseeded
 100g butter, softened
 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
 2 eggs
 2 cups self-raising flour
 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease base and sides of a 6cm deep, 10.5cm x 20.5cm (base) loaf pan. Line with baking paper, allowing a 2cm overhang at both long ends.
2. Wash and cut pumpkin into 4cm pieces. With water clinging, place pumpkin in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 3 to 4 minutes or until pumpkin is tender. Set aside to cool. Drain and place cooled pumpkin in a food processor. Process until smooth (you should have 1 cup).
3. Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until well combined. Stir in pumpkin.
4. Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves over pumpkin mixture. Stir gently to combine. Spoon into prepared pan. Smooth surface. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Stand in pan for 10 minutes. Lift onto a wire rack. Serve warm or cold.

Sunday's Thoughts And Some Beautiful Sweaters !

Another new week has begun , the holiday season is here . This week it's Thanksgiving on Thursday , then the preparation begins for Christmas four short weeks later . It's always so exciting . I feel like a child when the festive season begins , but I do feel thankful for my life and each day that's a blessing for me . as much as I love the holidays I am aware of the many lonely people who face that time alone . I think we each have an obligation to be friendly and try and include someone alone ,in our life . Talking always helps . Loneliness can also lead to depression , although there are a whole lot of causes that lead to depression if we find supportive people in our life , I doubt there would be as many suicidal people . the most important thing is not to be judgemental . Accept people for who they are , most important .  Today I was sad to see Johnny leave Strictly , although he had to go because I don't think Debbie should have been at the bottom . Anyways when he thanked everyone and said he was happy to be the first disabled person , I was like What ??? I never saw him as disabled he was just another normal person . I don't like all this labelling we now put on everything .

The gender neutral thing really bothers me . Male and Female are different , if a person has no gender , then what is going to become of Sports events ? I expect as it is with Women shouting all the time they are equal to men why don't they just have them competing together , like jockeys do . I want to see it at Tennis , football , athletics  everywhere , wouldn't that be fair and let those ladies eat their words while they get beaten at every sport !!!!! Enjoy being who you are , and when you are 18 and feel like you should be the other sex , then live as the other sex ..gender neutral is a load of crap . This world is getting out of control ! I don't expect to have a male in the female toilet , but then I'm not in my 20's and feel forced to accept everything .

Delicious Chicken In A Pan !!

Today I thought I'd share with a nice chicken one pot recipe, which is super healthy and really easy to put together. Don't underestimate a one pot recipe, it can be very delicious, too. Have it with rice, if you can't live without it or combine it with any of your favourite side dishes. A rice, leafy green salad, or another favourite of mine, some pico de gallo. That's a Mexican word for a tomato salsa ''thing'' which I LOVE !
.



The Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive or canola oil
1 Vidalia onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
2 stalks celery (diced)
1 red pepper (sliced in thin strips)
1 cup mushrooms (chopped)
1 medium tomato (chopped)
½ cup brown rice (uncooked, not instant or quick cooking)
8 ounces boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite sized pieces
2 cups vegetable stock or broth (unsalted or low sodium)
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 cup frozen green beans

Directions:

1. In a stock pot with a tight fitting lid, place all the ingredients except the frozen green beans. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook about 35 minutes.
2. Stir in green beans, cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes longer. If needed, add ¼ to ½ cup more stock or water if no moisture left in bottom of pot. Ready to eat as soon as green beans are cooked.

Hope you managed to take in the EMA's yesterday , it was very entertaining and although I thought it was completely unnecessary for Rita Ora to change her outfits a zillion times . some were completely ridiculous , but she was a very good host and her wigs were fabulous ! And again who was the artist who won most of the awards ? Oh yes I remember it's Shawn Mendez well I don't think he's all that grand , but I believe it's the young girl following that's pushing him up there , lol.

At the X Factor show , Harry Styles was compelling he definitely had the Mick Jagger vibe about him , and even though in his days at One Direction I thought he was NAFF and too commercial I now think he's getting some class and becoming a real Star performer . I would pay to go see a concert of his ..Yes really !!

Before I end I must say The Real Housewives of Cheshire this season has been something else , every episode riveting . My Monday's have never been the same can't wait for the night to see the next instalment every week . My favourite's have definitely been  Leanne, Tanya & Esta ..I used to like Dawn Ward but she has just turned out to be some nasty shouting fish wife really ! The funniest part is Eric Peters doing stints on Real Housewives, football doesn't pay him enough lol .. he needs to do something else . His wife is a disaster Never throw a drink over somebody at a party and a children's party at that , disgraceful behaviour ... I absolutely can't stand her very nasty evil look in her eyes most of the time !!! But that's my opinion . You guys always keep it classy !

It has been an amazing day and I am feeling happy. A lot of people find different reasons to smile and be happy. Many people find it within themselves when they accomplish goals set on a list. Many times it's their children who make people smile and be happy. I am feeling happy because I'm feeling blessed, as the year almost comes to an end better things happen and I feel hopeful and happy .

1. Green Tea
It's loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. It includes fat loss and it even improves brain function. It can even lower risks of cancers. Kendall Jenner loves her green tea which also curbs her appetite being a model.

2. Watermelon Smoothie
As well as helping with weight loss and flattening your tummy, the citrulline in the fruit helps with better blood flow. It gives you plenty of vitamins and minerals and acts as an anti-inflammatory. It works miracles for better kidney health.

3. Flavored Water
As well as getting your needed daily allowance of fruit, it helps in weight loss. It curbs your appetite and is delicious to drinks. It has no added sugar and will boost your immune system.

On another note , Sunday is a day for relaxation and a spot of meditation , reading up on all the news of the week and of course cooking a huge dinner !  Today I read that Prince William made a speech this week about the world getting over populated and how we all need to do something about it ! Well don't you think this is the most absurd thing for the Prince to say , when his wife is expecting a third child ?? We love the fact Kate is pregnant but this subject of population control ,is not to be addressed in the West . At this moment in time alot of people in the west  are making the decision to have no children or curtail themselves to one child . This problem is one from the third world countries . On a trip abroad it would have been more appropriate to broach the subject and ask people to practice family planning and use birth control . A couple of days ago I even saw a programme on the BBC about young people who don't want any children and were actively trying to get themselves sterilised but were meeting with opposition from doctors . I support the idea these young people have, the world is not the best place at the moment and I see no signs of improvement in the coming years . People who don't want children should be respected . Just like equal rights for women .  My Sunday thoughts !

Attract People By Smelling Nice - Floral Perfumes !

The one thing that would really set you apart from everyone else, and have you remembered is... if you smelt really , really nice . Every woman takes pride in dressing up nicely , having great make up , a fancy hair style and don't forget the shoes :) but at the heart of everything when your just kicking back and all your clothes are off , and the hairstyle 's gone messy the make-ups all washed off , you still want to smell good . It's the basic of getting dressed spritz on the perfume , behind the ears , between the breasts and the wrists all my favourite spots :)

I just want to share with you six great perfumes ,they are all flower based , and I absolutely adore them all .
My favourite has the very suitable name of "Very Irresistible " from Givenchy . The smell is made from Roses and the underlying twist is , it's made from six different roses . It's a bit pricey at 66 pounds for a 75 ml bottle but so totally worth it ! I LOVE IT !!!

The next great perfume to try this is " Love Story " eau de parfume from Chloe . the flowers used in this delicate fragrance is Orange Blossoms , Neroli and Jasmine with a hint of cedarwood . It costs a hefty 65 pounds for a 50 ml bottle , but money well spent !
"Dolce Floral drops " costs 66 pounds for a 75 ml eau de toilette bottle , which looks absolutely stunning and smells even better , something that would look great on your bedside table even after the parfum 's been used up . It's made from daffodils , lilies and papaya flowers with a hint of musk and sandalwood .

The 100 ml bottle of Jimmy Choo's eau de parfum "Blossom "is priced at 62 pounds it's made from roses and sweet peas with a hint of sandalwood and red berries . This has to be my second best smell and def.worth every penny .
Stella McCartney has her own fragrance called "Stella " . It's a delicate fragrance made from roses and peony petals with a hint of fresh mandarin and frozen lemon . It costs 57 pounds for a 50 ml eau de toilette bottle .

My last recommendation for a great floral perfume is the most expensive at 75 pounds called "Quatre "from Boucheron . It's a 100 ml bottle eau de parfum so well worth it because the fragrance lingers alot longer . I wake up , the next morning and my pillow and sheets smell divine , traces of my parfum are definitely left behind :) It's made from Jasmine and Roses with a hint of wild strawberries , lychees and musk .
I adore all these wonderful fragrances, floral smells are what your looking to invest in .
Spoil and indulge yourself , you only live once  . Get one of these , you won't regret it . The men will be flocking like flies ;)

Six Beauty Essentials !

It was a beautiful day , the start to a new week after the fall half term it was cold and blustery , autumn is definitely here . All I could think of was keeping warm and drinking some Chai Lattes and coffee all day ! No I didn't munch on anything . Today I'm going to list six must haves for your beauty case . Keep your makeup updated and simple . Don't keep tones of products in your beauty case . Here are six essentials for me .

1. A great foundation! After cleaning and moisturizing your face, apply foundation. It's quicker and easier using a sponge or a brush. Dab on with your fingers and blend gently. The best foundation I recommend is MAC Mineralize Satin Finish Foundation.

2. A super concealer, and Rimmel Recover Anti-fatigue concealer is a winner. Concealer is the only way to get rid of dark circles. First apply an eye cream after a couple of minutes use your ring finger to dab on the concealer. Allow it to be absorbed into the skin and then blend. The key is light pressure. If you rub too hard, you rub the product off.

3. A glide on eyeliner. Eyes are sensitive and don't take kindly to us slathering them with make-up. Always use a soft pencil that glides on without any pressure or tugging. I recommend Lancome La Crayon Khol Eyeliner.

4. A clump free mascara. Curl your lashes first then use your mascara. Clinique Long Pretty Lashes mascara is one of the best. One of the most important things when buying a mascara is to choose one with a big brush and bristles , it gives you more definition and lots more colour !

5. A good flattering eyeshadow. Some eye shadows barely show up. They need to have good pigmentation. Use a soft eye shadow brush to sweep shadow across the lids, blending into and just above the creases. Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Mosaic Eye Shadow is my winner!

6. A perfect lipstick. I generally prefer matte lipsticks, make sure you keep your lips moisturized so your lipstick goes on smoothly an doesn't show-up cracks and un-eveness! Use a shade that you love and feel comfortable with. If you like the Nudes Bobbi Brown has an awesome range but if you are going for a cheaper but good value lipstick, look no further than MUA which has awesome colors for fall/autumn.

Maybelline Tattoo Brow ... A Must Have :)

This weekend the clocks go back , and it gets darker earlier. It's the best part of the year , I love it ! Now with Halloween knocking on the door the children are excited to get into costume , decorate the house with bats , pumpkins , ghostly shapes , we even have an adorable black cat our pet , who makes it feel like Halloween year round , we love him ! We are so ready for Halloween . All week it's been pumpkin on the menu in some shape or form . The winner being Pumpkin soup with some nice crusty bread !

At this autumnal time of the year , make up is all dramatic and dark and red lips are a must . Nothing says dressed up ,than some nice red lippy ! But even more bold has been the on going trend for dramatic brows ! You cannot really go into town without seeing drawn on eyebrows everywhere . So with Maybelline bringing out their latest Tattoo Eyebrow which lasts for three 3 days giving you nice dramatic eyebrows , I just had to go out and get myself a kit to try out !  I just absolutely adore it ! I will never stop using it as long as I live ! It's true to it's word and lasts for 3 days even while washing your face and going under the shower . I went out immediately and already got myself four more . I don't want to suddenly find it's all sold out ! They cost more than you expect at 12 pounds 99 pence it's not cheap but I love it ! Available at all drugstores !

It's very easy to use , just paint the liquid stuff with the applicator onto your eyebrows and let it dry for two hours . Peel it off after the required time and you have set the tattoo gel tint to your eyebrow and your good for 3 days . You must definitely try it ... well worth the money if you like dramatic big eyebrows .

Champions Day & A Weekend Outfit !

Happy Saturday !

Today was Champions Day at Ascot , when the flat racing comes to an end and the Champion jockey is named for 2017 . Sylvester Da Sousa was a worthy Champion with 150 plus winners there was nobody around who could have got close . Very humble , hardworking and honest da Sousa would easily be my favourite jockey . You always know with Da Sousa riding you could have a fair chance of winning . He takes every ride seriously and works with 100% commitment and effort . Happy to have  seen him crowned . From a humble background in Brazil to a famous , rich well loved jockey , he has come a long way .Cheers Sylvester , well done !  There were favourites winning all over and if you knew nothing about racing and just backed favs you could have taken home a fair bit of cash #nojokes Cracksman under Frankie Dettori  was magnificent what a ride , what a winner and I backed that . Disappointing  to see Ribchester lose , he 's a mighty fine horse and hardly ever fails to bag the prize . It probably was the ground and the weather , heavy winds Storm Brian in action ! Although it was Storm "O'Brian " walking away with the trophy ! Trainer Aiden O'Brian bagged Champion Trainer award in the UK even though he's Irish . I love the Irish ! That man is remarkable with his soft spoken voice humble attitude and gorgeous good looks he's a force doing an awesome job , getting in all the winners when it matters most !

The fall half term is on and everyone is looking forward to some nice days with the kids , family time , preparations for Halloween and some baking on the agenda ! Whatever you plan to do have fun and keep safe ! I've landed a cold again in the space of 2 weeks , must be cause I stopped having honey everyday . Got to get out and buy some ! Keep healthy and keep fit !

As I everyday love studying the horses that are due to run , I almost never choose the wrong ones . With a strike rate of 92 % my friends and family always benefit from my tips .

Sunday Delicious - Tacos

Happy Sunday !

I hope you all had the most amazing relaxing weekend with friends and family . My day was special , because I took time to remember my Mum , who had passed away a couple of years ago . It would have been her birthday today and in her memory and honour I decided the kids and I must go out to a restaurant and eat . Mexican cuisine is delicious ,Taco Bell obliged us today but if you want to cook up something at home here is a recipe favourite of mine Tacos .
It's a big hit with my children and I love it too. So happy cooking and Bon Appetit!

Ingredients:

500g pack lean minced beef

1 tbsp sunflower oil

1½ tbsp dried oregano

4 garlic cloves, crushed

2 tsp ground cumin

2tsp paprika

pinch chilli flakes

24 taco shells

Instructions:

Heat a large frying pan until very hot, then brown the mince. Remove, then season with salt and pepper. Add the oil to the pan and fry the garlic, oregano and spices for 1 min until fragrant. Return the beef to the pan and toss well, then cook for 2-3 mins until hot through. Warm the taco shells following the pack instructions and serve with the beef.

The news has only been about Harvey Weinstein and little else . The amount of celebrities coming out of the woodwork to declare his evil sexual overtures towards them . Why on earth have they not spoken out about this years ago ?? Even if people don't take you seriously keep talking about any sexual predator you encounter . Don't let how important they are , intimidate you .

These actresses obviously kept their mouth shut because they wanted money and fame ... I personally feel ashamed of Gywneth  Paltrow ,and somebody like Angelina Jolie talking about it now after so many years . You would think Angelina yeah she's a loud mouth who takes no shit from men ! I'm surprised at these women all keeping quiet , they obviously had an agenda in keeping quiet , and allowing this Man to assault more women indecently . These same women speaking out now about Weinstein are aware that he donated to the Clinton Foundation during the Clinton Campaign for Presidency , knowing fully well he is a sexual predator . Clinton took the money , took almost a week to condemn Weinstein but only via someone and I doubt she will ever return his dirty money. Absolutely appalling behaviour from all these women and no surprise from Clinton , she lives with a predator who has had more than 18 plus women who have accused him of sexual overtures . She has not divorced him, but continues to share her life with Bill . I actually dislike all that Hillary stands  for ,she's an appalling example to women . I'm so glad she never became President a corrupt , shrewd , ruthless women with money and power only on her mind . There is no Love and Peace in any of her daily thoughts , I'm sure . 

Today look into your life feel strong , never let anyone intimidate you . Speak out about anything , don't feel you need to be careful and shush your soul . Be a strong person , money is nice I love it myself but don't allow yourself to be sold into becoming a bad person by allowing a rotten person to yield power and glory !  I very strongly believe as Harvey Weinstein is not in-control of his sexual urges , these kind of people can never be cured , and will always be a danger to society . The best punishment is a quick castration and then yes he can move on and become a better person . Maybe we can forgive him , it's probably an incurable illness and needs to be treated medically !

Today was a beautiful blustery autumn day and the weather was perfect . It rained now and again but I loved it all . The most beautiful thing about autumn is when you can wear on any shoe you like , beautiful boots , the ankle ones are pretty sexy and you could always go for the open toe because the weather doesn't fall much below 10 degrees , to freeze you up ...so much choice ! More often it falls in September the next one in October is in 2020 . The harvest moon can be the most beautiful sight , appearing as a large plump orange coloured orb , around dusk . Colourful Handbags For The Autumn !

Happy Monday !

Only it wasn't so happy , today the world woke up to news of the mass shooting in Las Vegas , it was very sad to hear . What is the world coming too ? We need more peace and love will this ever be possible ? I hope one day my children will see Peace in the World , with no nuclear weapons with governments not pouring money into defence and weapons but investing in Health , education ,welfare and transport . These people are sick individuals and need good health care and need to be put into institutions . I don't believe it's the gun laws that need to be changed , it's bad people who use these guns dangerously . Bad things are happening around the world , and not all use guns ! We need to promote more love, peace and harmony .

Sunday the Spanish police , over the Catalan Referendum also acted with such brutality which outraged the world . The Spanish government should be dissolved , to allow it's police to use such barbaric brute force and bullying methods is not letting democracy speak . It is an outrage that Spain is allowed to do this within the EU against it's citizens . Like I said the world is going crazy , and most of the time I just prefer to stay indoors ...it's getting scary outside !

The weekend is always awaited , tomorrow is a big day in horse-racing , it's the day of the Arc ! That would be one of the best & most expensive races on the Flat calendar. It takes place across the Channel in France , a place called Chantilly, which is very beautiful .The favourite to win is ENABLE a filly who will be ridden by Frankie Dettori , the best jockey in the world and I will be very happy to put my money on it ! Have a bet on it , it would be worth it . You could also put a double , which I will be doing on the 4.35 also at Chantilly on Marsha ridden by a very very good jockey Luke Morris , unbelievably talented !

Today's blog is about a favourite which never goes out of fashion ..the pencil skirt , I think it's glamorous and I love wearing them .
